I don't know. Only an 83% score? I feel vaguely angry about that. I feel GalCiv 2 is worth at least a 90%-92% score. This is literally the most engaging game I've played this year. (Civ IV doesn't really count as it came out last year, but I'd still put Stardock's fine creation against it any day.) I know this for sure. GalCiv 2 and Stardock have my vote as best overall user experience. If developer input and responsiveness were part of thei

What about letting me remap a couple of keys to rotate the map? I know you're supposed to be able to do it with the middle mouse button, but my scroll wheel function gets in the way. I've heard other people have the same problem.

Awesome news! I can't wait to see this in action, especially the ship insignias and rotatable parts. Just a couple of requests for v1.2: 1. I'd love to see a way to restore the default race properties in the game menu without deleting the config file manually. The current workaround is pretty clumsy. 2. Please enable a way to design ships separately from the game proper. I don't know if this even possible, but if it is,

MP is a great idea in theory. Would most GC2 fans want to play a game over a LAN or the internet against other human players? Perhaps a cooperative game against the Drengin? Sure. No question. Does anyone want to deal with the associated design challenges? We can either wait for each player to design ships, or we can disable that function in MP games. I don't think either solution is the one we want. The only viable route would seem to be a play by email option. Keeping MP

I want a real Doom Ray. Check out the Armchair General review: http://www.armchairgeneral.com/articles.php?p=2507&page=1 That's what I'm talking about! I want a ray that completely obliterates an enemy planet. I had forgotten that option in the first GalCiv. Why did that go away?

Also maybe a ship sand box where you have full access to all techs to build ship models with weapons and save them for use or import into the game. I would absolutely love this option. I can imagine myself just playing with the ship editior for hours that way. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Bo

Most of the reviews coming out seem incredibly fair and well-written (a rarity amongst so-called game journalists) and I'm really looking forward to the aggregate score once enough independent reviews come in. I didn't base this particular purchase on a review, but it makes me feel good knowing you guys are getting the credit you deserve. Viva GalCiv seris!
