Reply to Tide me over! in PC Gaming

I think I'm going to try out Fall from Heaven mod. It looks pretty good...and I have Civ4 so I won't have to spend money!

In the interview at gamespot, it was said that you could build multiple buildings per tile...I'm curios as to how man that will be. Im guessing somewhere in the neighberhood of 4 buildings per tile that seems like enough to were you able to develop each tile well, but not so much that you won't want several.

Ok, I am super excited about EWOM, and was wondering if you guys could suggest a game for me to get to tide me over until it comes out! Preferably a game that is similar to what Elemental will be

Indeed, that's a pretty solid idea for what they are. I think are alot more Hive minded than human, as In they care allot less about individualness.

I also like the suggestion from NorsemanViking of Elementalfanatics.com or something with fanatics in...mainly because it harkens back to Civfanatics, with is one of the best and most successful comunity site for a game out there. Plus I am a huge Civ fan, so that's a web site I've gone to ALOT Maybe EWOMfanatics.com</

I agree that the AI is quite predictable, and diplomacy is non-existent(...though I suppose that's why it's called Total war lol). Diplomacy is the most disapointing thing in the game for sure. Alliance were impossible to maintain, and your allies hardly ever help you. LoL does any one remeber in the earier patches of Rome that almost every time a nation was going to attack you, they would get a trade agreement from you a few turns before...like that was going to trick you into moving all you

Ya, from what I can tell from the screen shots, the tacticle battles will be ateast partially turn based. What Im worried about is a similar situation you get in playing the Total War games. Sometimes you just don't want to play the battles. Either you know you would win, but auto-resolving gives unrealistic results, so you feel forced to play every battle. This happens especially in Rome in trying to auto-resolve when fighting against a roman faction as a non roman faction. I don't know if a

How about something simple like EWOM.com or WoMnotMoM.com armiesofelemental.com suckitatari.com P.s. I would like to help with the site if I could!

One could also argue that their inability to embrace change inevitably makes them and inferior race (from an evolutionary stand point). Despite being stronger, faster, and more adept with magic, being unable to adapt to change is a large weakness in the long run.

Ya, I think it would be cool If after a fight there was a "battle zone" that you could send a caravan to and get some of the salvagable reasorces...I dought we will see this in the game though.

Reply to SupCom2 in Everything Else

*spoiler alert* It won't suck. SupCom is one of my favorite rts's of all time.

Is rationality not relative as well? Im hoping them being "stronger and faster" as the lore says will be offset by humans reproducing faster or something like that.

20 Replies 12,850 Views

To go back to my second question, does anyone know about the heroes. I'm hoping players will be able to create their own heroes that can appear in the game...though I imagine with dread as Im sure at least once I'll go into battle and see that the enemy has recruited an awesome hero that I've created....NOOOO

Just in one of the interviews I think. Apparently the major groups of humans/fallen have been seperated for so long that they have developled unique cultures and personalities.

11 Replies 9,280 Views

So, what are they? The fallen I mean. I've read the lore obviously, but that doens't tell us much. I have it in my head that they are like Chaos in Warhammer (minus the worshiping of dark gods...or maybe not!) - Twisted, Corrupt, Evil and somewhat insane humans... Chaos is "a force representing the antithesis of civilization" as I read somewhere (Wikipeida [e digicons];)[/e] ) Are they like that, or more of the dark elves to the humans high elves...again comparing it to warha

The thing about large troop numbers in tacticle battles is that it would depend more on your graphics card than just memory, but I suppose if you have 8+ gigs of RAM, then you probly will have a pretty sweet graphics card as well!

I think it would be cool that if you get killed the enemy hero/channeler that killed you gets part of your essence and vica-versa. If you kill an enemy channeler you get part of their essence. Then they respawn somewhere. You could also make it to where if you die with no essence left you die for good. --I agree though with people that say you shouldn't be able to go hunt down an enemy channeler, and then once you kill him his entire civilization dissapears. I hope they make the chann

I still would like to know if get to deck the dragon out in armour and and such, Even if it's only for aesthetic purposes

This is more a question at Stardock, but if anyone else whants to disscuss it please post. -I was wanting to know what lessons you learned from GalCiv(1+2)? More importantly, how will the economic system compare to that of GalCiv2? Now I'm a huge fan of both GalCiv 1 and 2, but I was always a big critic of how the economic system worked. I never liked how you had to pay for every unit of production/research. It always seemed to me that it defeated the purpose of getting a large produc

I think a dragons sheer physical size would prevent it from being a playable race...though in many fantasy settings dragons can take the form of other beings.
