Colin Powell is the only one on the previous Bush Cabinet with a head on his shoulders AMEN to that!!

If he does as well as his background suggests he will, he has tremendous upside, but let's be realistic about the timing of his annointing with oil. please notice that my comments have NEVER referred to any specific timeframe. my comments have simply been that the DNC needs to keep an eye on him. he

If immigrants could be president, I have this feeling that, hypothetically, one could be used to gain access into the White House by a not so benevolent foreign nation. i tend to agree. and i believe it's like the concept of, "you can take the girl/boy out of the city, but you can't take the city out o

As much as I know from first hand experience how patriotic naturalized Americans are, they still have ideas brewing from their own countries. whoman69...i tend to agree with this line of thought. deep down, wouldn't a person's attachment to their original place of existence be much more resolute?</font

oaky, i just briefly checked out americannaziparty.com, and i have to agree with Mitch...it's kinda creepy. probably even waaay creepy. however, i did notice one item to ponder...if you read the "Who We Are" section, you'll notice that the writer/Chairman's name is Rocky J. Suhayda. yeah, that sounds real American (??)!

before i get on with my first article, i wanted to mention that i've been doing quite a bit of reading here on ju since i joined. i've made a few comments here and there, but i decided to lay low and get a feel for the general atmosphere here prior to jumping in with both feet. i must say, i am impressed and i applaud the majority of you...the constructive, well del

Years served: 1997 - Present DNC, you are quite welcome...any time! i must add that everytime i see the amount of time he's served, i am reminded of how driven Mr. Obama is. he's accomplished quite a bit in a relatively short period of time.

I like Hillary Clinton also but she would be an easy target in four years. I think she should pitch for VP first, get the American people comfortable with the idea of a woman in power. even as a female, i tend to agree. i am still somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of Hill running for president strai

I find Obama personally attractive, but he's yet to serve one day in Congress, so let's hold off on those "first black president" predictions till he has at least a little track record. The Dems would not do themselves a favor by simply latching onto him as the second coming just because he's mixed black and won an election again

Satellite radio will not be as widely available as free radio no matter what Stern says or does. A radio service one has to pay for will not reach an audience as large as free radio reaches for quite some time. don't be so sure of that...that's what people originally said about cable and satellite tv!</

I agree I hope to see him running for Pres. eventually! they way Letterman referred to this was definitely more "when" Obama will run for President, than "if" he'll run. like i said...keep an eye on him!

i too, am a big supporter of the girl scouts. i use to help a friend's daughter sell cookies every year by bringing an order form to work with me...people used to line up at my cube! my favs include carmel delights, peanut butter patties, and peanut butter sandwich cookies. btw, if you're a real girl scout cookie lover...never, NEVER look at the nutritional facts on the side of the box, merely looking at the stats could clog an artery!

there is hope. keep your eye on on Illinois Senator-elect, Barack Obama. people like Obama are definitely what the democratic party needs...is there any way we can clone him a few thousand times?? incidentally, he was on Letterman the other night (11/26), and each time i see/hear him i am more impressed. i like what i see and i believe he has a bright future with and holds great promise for the democratic party.

dabe, in all sincerity, i really appreciate your true concern for your fellow U.S. citizens. regardless of what i consider myself to be, democrat or repuplican, i am tired of our government placing prioity in the constant investment (whether socially, economically, morally, etc.), in the backyards of other countries over its own citizens. i am often unsure how we can possibly assist countries with their problems, when there is so much to concentrate
