First of all it is well known that Animals have senses that we do not have. Birds can detect the magnetic field etc. This is entirely scientific however. Yes science cannot predict earthquakes but this is still under research. Where do u get this figure of 98% and 2%. That is the trouble with all religious arguments, there is never any factual basis to it. All science seeks to do is explain what we can't.

First of all you cannot say the universe started from nothing. This breaks the law of conservation of Energy. In any physical process energy must be conserved. There are certain quantum mechanical processes where energy can be borrowed for a very short period of time, but it has to be returned. This is rather like a bank account. Bringing God into it does not really help. Who created God? If God has always existed why is the universe only 14 billl
Thanks baublebouche. Buddhism is actually a very complex religion and has very different levels of understanding. I think you will find this in any religion. In a way it has nothing to do with the religion but the person who practises it. There are bad Buddhists and good Christians. You see there is theory and practice and you don't find many people who live by them both. I know I have to work on this. When you get more advanced however you rely less o
Totally a agree. I prefer Pink elephants myself. It has the same evidence as Creationism.
I would first like to say Creationism is not a theory as defined by Science. You cannot point to a book and say that is what it says in the Bible. You also cannot discuss these things without understanding very advanced Physics. First of all Space and Time are not separate. If you look at black holes for instance, you find that time slows down and inside one it stops. You cannot ask the question what happened before the big bang becuase time did not e
You have a very basic idea of Buddhism. The concept of merit is just that a concept. If it helps you to do good then use it but it is only the start. Once you have an understanding of emptiness then gaining or losing merit becomes a little meaningless. Also this concept of escaping reincarnation is a not really a Buddhist concept. Enlightenment does not mean escape from Samsara. It means realising Form and Emptiness are non-dual. You do not become God
People often assume atheism means the absence of religion. I am a Buddhist and so this is obviusly not the case. The rational mind is limited. But is can give a pointer to the vast open Mind that is actually who we really are. There is no need for a creator or created. We have always existed and we will always continue to exist. Our bodies may be limited but our Minds are not. There is no beginning or end to this wheel of life. It is a new paradigm.</
The western mind is caught on the idea that everything must be created. The eastern attitude is far more circular. Things come and go out of existence. No beginning or end. There is therefore no need for a creation or an end. First of all although we think this universe had a beginning in the big-bang, there is no scientific evidence to say we don't live in a muti-verse. So when this universe ends we merely go into another one. It should be rememb

This is a site where like minded people can meet and share ideas over the internet. Do you have a product or service that is valuable. When you buy over the internet do you get the best value. What about predicting the future. Do you think you can make money from this. These are some ideas I have about making money on the internet. I also include material on educat
