I saw the title of this article, and I immediately knew it had to be more wisdom from you, Sir Peter! Don't your detractors understand that you have the best interests of the peasant class in mind? They should learn to pay more attention to their betters. These out of wedlock births and single mother households will just give rise to more lazy, ungrateful urchins, begging the fair pillars of the empire for another bowl of gruel.

*laugh* He demanded a rebuttal and Kerry's response looked to me like "I'll do this any way you want." Confidence. Something Mr. Bush lacked. I don't think Bush needed any note cards, since he basically repeated the same four or five things over and over.

Espresso machines have gotten very affordable in the past few years, and the quality of the brew has got dramatically better as well. The first "home use" espresso makers were pretty shoddy, but you can get a "commercial" quality one these days for not a lot of $$$. It takes some practice to froth the milk with for cappucinos, but I prefer straight espresso anyway, so I don't use the milk steam function all that often. Fair Trade coffee is

*laugh* You wanna open up a can of worms here, talk about who controls the media, libs or conservatives. I think that conservatives have more of a voice in the media right now than they've ever had, but liberals are not out in the cold by any means.

*chuckle* You're still hoping that the righties can spin gold from straw like they did in 2000, after post-debate polls showed a win for Gore. But the right's motto is "If we say something LOUD enough LONG enough, it magically becomes the TRUTH"

steven didn't attack you, luv, that's our resident right wing nut job Drmiler who said that *grin* And the reason he said it is in hopes that the right-wing radio stars can spin a Bush victory out of defeat like they did for Bush in 2000 against Gore. I think steven was implying that your not being able to discern a clear winner is the truth of the matter -- a lot of people are calling it a draw..

They will often complain about the bias against them in society, which DOES exist, but exists largely because of the antagonistic push to remove all religious culture from society (such groups as Freedom From Religion come to mind). Bingo, you just summed u

I find Franken amusing, but I have a problem with him. I recently read his book "Lies and the Lying Liars that Tell Them," and he himself misrepresented some events that took place in Arkansas while Clinton was governor. In trying to defend Clinton, he wound up doing what he claims Hannity and O'Reilly do -- glossing over facts and selecting only the information that makes his guy look good. At question in the book were the deaths of two teenagers t

I jokingly posted as the debate was closing that is was a "tie" because conservatives would say Bush won and libs would say Kerry won. This morning, it seems like a lot of people are saying that seriously. Kerry seemed more confident, and Bush seemed a big flustered by the end. I wish the candidates could have addressed one another, though, it would have made it a lot more interesting.
