You can edit the menus in Word anyway... here's Word 97: Tools -> Configure -> Commands tab. Click on a menu to open it, click on any item. Click on the Modify Selection button and change the name. To do this to (almost) any program, you want a resource hacker like Resource Hacker: http://www.rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehacker/ (or various alternatives, this one happens to be a good free one).

Try putting the various permutations of the URLs for your page in Google http://www.google.com . It should hopefully still have some of your pages in its cache, should you wish to resurrect some of the text you had there (no images though). I couldn't get it to give anything up though

Easy (if the image is rectangular) - put it in a table with the shadow in adjoining cells. It is/was possible to do this properly (proper blurred drop shadows with transparency) in IE, but it's one of the features noone ever used so they might have removed it.

There are some vis plugins which will insert themselves into the gap. Can't think of any in particular offhand, and anyway a fullscreen vis squished into that little hole is pretty ugly.

Won't you listen? Here's what people say... 1. Skinning programs like "skinamp" make crap skins. If you want to make a good skin then do it by editing the individual bitmaps. 2. There's NO WAY you can use a Java applet in a Winamp skin. 3. You can't make "skins that don't look anything like the origanal", also known as freeform skins, in Winamp 2.
