imtoomuch: you might want to give DockTheme a try - it's a beta, but it does let you save your icon settings and dock layouts to a theme and restore any theme at any time... however, it saves your entire dock setup, so if you make a change to the layout, or any OD settings, you have to re-save your theme often otherwise you'll lose the settings whenever you restore another theme http://www.nuviu.net/products/docktheme

For those experiencing the "explorer" problem (things like 'my computer' not running: it has to do with the feature that is identifying running programs - this was added in the 0.75 version. The dock identifies that "explorer.exe" is already running (explorer is *always* running), and thus, single clicking a dock-link to explorer won't work - you have to double-click to make it launch. A workaround solution: make a copy of explorer.exe in your C:\Windows folder. Call it something else,

iOn: move your mouse back to the edge of the screen where the dock used to be - it should pop back up. that's the point of auto-hide - it hides when you're not hovering over it, which is helpful to avoid having the dock cover part of your application when you're running something full screen

neph: Windows XP itself limits icon size to 72x72, even though an ICO file is capable of handling higher resolutions (128x128 is perfect for ObjectDock). Most icon authors probably don't bother creating icons larger than 72x72, since the file size increases drastically, and Windows can't use the extra size. Kuma san: just drag the "Show Desktop" icon straight from your Quick Launch toolbar right onto the dock. Then customize it from there. You might have to drag using your right mouse button instead of your left in case Windows tries to move the icon instead of copying it. jarget: the easiest way to do transparency is to open the PNG file in Adobe Photoshop, and in the "layers" window, just decrease the opacity (85% is reasonable, depending on the background), then resave the file back as a PNG and restart ObjectDock. Perhaps one idea for offering "skinning" capabilities, is to do pretty much what every other Stardock program does... rename a zip file to something like "mytheme.dock", and just unzip it to a folder in the ObjectDock install directory. Then instead of modifying background.ini to accommodate changes to the background or separator PNGs, it would just contain the name of the directory where it can find a new background.ini as well as supplimentary appimages.ini & dockitems.ini files. Sorry to do two posts in a row like this, but in regards to loupy's comment about the custom icons being around 120K or so... I don't know if the performance will be the same on every machine, but I've made a bunch of PNG files that keeps the size low, and the speed is excellent. I have a 1.2GHz and a Radeon 3500 so that probably boosts the graphics performance, but just the same, the PNG's work very well, and my largest one is only 34K. Well, while everyone's in the mode of making suggestions, since it seems we're all falling in love with ObjectDock... here's a couple: 1) How about task grouping? If xx number of windows of same app are open at once, group them under one icon, with a little arrow to expand by way of a pop-up menu. 2) If too many windows are open, the dock sometimes sizes itself beyond the edges of the screen. I don't know if anyone's noticed this or not, but if you grab the little vertical line between the active tasks and the first icon (it's near the left hand side, if you have at least one program running)... by dragging the mouse up and down, you can resize the overall dock.... very cool you can actually make it really small, but you have to do it by clicking the top of the line, and dragging down

It would be nice to see two things: 1) Theming - since the icon configuration actually uses ICO files, it would probably be easy to make theming options using IconPackager files, with the matching config file, and allow switching between icon sets. 2) Enable/Disable the "always on top" feature - it's great working just like a mac, but for Windows apps that are not designed well enough to accomodate devations from standard
