Make sure that games does not unfolds the same way colony rush -- war (n-times) -- victory condition of your choosing. Everything else just bells and whistles.

People in this thread loosing a bigger picture. Every game relies on suspension of disbelief. The problem is not that this or that unrealistic / stupid, but the fact that game is not engaging enough to overlook such things. I played many games with far worse AI and much less realistic, but I liked them because they are more engaging. For example, (1) MoM (master of magic): non-existant AI, non-exitant balance, no realism (game of magic); (2) MOO I & II (Master of Orion) both un

Arnor? What the heck is Arnor? It sounds too LOTR >:( :notsure:
The funny part about rating is that the empire with negative treasury is considered richer than an empire with any positive treasury. Just a small bug with variable type in the comparison procedure :SURPRISED:
There are two "influences" 1. influence = how many influence points in a sector you have (to determine ownership of the sector) 2. influence = how many influence points you have to calculate a vote in UP council. This influence gets reseted each time the vote is held. However, minors do not vote and their "voting influence" is never reseted. Probably the game just lists by voting influence available. Check in the dialog with a race how many influence points they have to sell (it
