[Suggestion/UI] Quest Tracking - Quest tracking is currently very confusing. Figuring out where you need to go for a quest you've had a while is difficult. If the location is known and visible, it would be helpful to have a link out of the quest book to zoom to the spot on the map where the quest can be progressed.
Whilst I think your entire post is helpful, this section really stood out
Diplomatic Victory: This is actually pretty darn easy. I would rate it as easier than conquest victory because you don't have to bother with hunting down all the AI Sovereigns. Play as Kingdom. Make sure "Treaties" in the Diplomacy tree is the first or at least one of the first technologies you research. Also make sure you build one observer ASAP in each city you found. When you first meet an AI, on that very turn if possible, sign a treaty with t

Hi All, In my last game I came across a bug I haven't experianced before. It's a display bug that corrupts the look of my cities. To look at the map without hover my mouse over the corrupted it city, it appears that the AI has captured and now owns my city. However upon hovering the mouse over the city, it displays as belonging to me. Also I still seem to be generating income, etc from the city. Not quite sure if it's doing other things or if it's just

Been playing the game a lot and loving, even with the CTD and memory leak issues. The best thing is that this game is actually getting better and better. I hope that eventually it can overcome the negitivy it encountered upon it's release.

Make sure your Soveereign is selected. Under the vitals tab is a button for founding your first city. Position yourself next to a food supply and click that button. It's on the bottom of the UI towards the left of the screen. Conversely, you can also just hit the "B" key to found your kingdom.
I agree there should be the top difficulty that will stomp all over you for those who want it. But easy should not be a 50/50 chance because some people just want to win every time no matter how badly they suck/screw up/don't try.
So long as the AI is beatable (i.e there are strategies that can be used to beat the AI on the lower difficulties) then personally I'm happy. I'm not asking t

No I think that MP was overlooked for this patch. I imagine they'll be issuing a hotfix sometime soon, unless there's a reason for them disabling it at this time.

It's interesting reading posts that say the AI is poor. My experiance is that the AI is very conquest heavy. If I don't research the conquest tree (and currently (for me at least) the conquest victory option can not be turned off), then the AI will steam roll me. It's even worse in the early part of the game, if the AI happens to be near by and I've yet to build up a army. Once they declare war, they'll throw wave after wave at you without a break, meanwhile you have t

Thanks for the responses everyone . I've tried the advice in this thread (teching up the resource techs) and the econ is coming a long nicely. The more I play and learn about the inner workings of this game, the more fun it is :).

Hi, First up, please do not take this post as a critisim of the game. It's not. I love Elemental, and I'm happy that I've persisted with it. This post is just one of my frustrations with the game in it's current state. I'm more then willing to admit that I may be missing something here, or not building, reasearching something. So if there is any advice on game play that could help resolve this issue I'd be more then happy to hear it. The issue is the game'

Hi Everyone, As I've been playing Elemental more and more, I've been unlocking it's fun value. However there are still some things that confuse me. One of them is a reward that is offered at the end of a fight. Some fights give you a choice of either flat Gildar (Sorry if I'm spelling it wrong) or a bonus to Gildar ability. Eg 40 Gildar or 8 Gildar ability bonus. Can someone please explain to me how the Gildar ability bonus works.&nbsp

Thank you for this post Brad. I have to say that in an era where PR and non accountability seems to be the norm, you are stepping up to the plate admirably. Some feedback for future games (because I love playing Stardock games for the fun facter), would be to get some one in who could write a manual for the game that match's the Civ IV manual in quality. Now I realise that this easier said than done, (although I have to say the Gal Civ 2 manual was the

I'm of two minds reading about the AI fixes. On the one hand, I'm happy that the AI is being fixed. On the other hand, I haven't been able to win a game of Elemental at any difficulty outside the main campaign, so reading about how easy it is to beat the AI is disheartening at times. Having said that, I do love this game, and I am persisting on playing a mixture of Civ IV and Elemental (moving between one and the other depending on my mood at the time). I haven't seen Civ V,

Well first off I just want to say thank you for continuing to work on this game and improve it. There are a lot of game publishers / developers out there who don't even put out two patches, let alone rework the game after release. Speaking as a strategy game novice, one of the things that would be nice for Elemental is for some form of guidance in the form of feedback. For example, a setting that can be enabled or disenabled depending on player preferance, t

Congrats on on the arrival of your new baby BoogieBac :-) and thank you for the article on Elemental. Whilst I don't post much on the forums, I do read them, and I've been a Stardock fan since the Gal Civ 1 days, so I have every faith that Stardock will continue to improve Elemental as time goes by. Hope your reorientation goes smoothly.

I also hope the OP wasn't serious. I found the intro to be wonderful. If you don't like it, you can always hit esc/space to bypass it.
