THe Op is really out to lunch here.. I can see how Civ Rev added some flavour to Civ5. But civ rev it's not. Not by a long shot. And to the other guy who thinks Civ4 is for kids.... Ya dunno how to really respond to that. I mean what 4X game comes close to the over experience? Surely not Gal Civ2 which I think is a great game by the way... Civ4 really is by far the best 4X game ever created. Alpha Centuri was my second. Moo2 was probably third. Civ 5 isnt perfect. The

It seems like a pretty common sense idea to have pioneers cost 1 food! Dont know why that wouldnt be in the game from the start...

Also the Civ 4 AI is so much better then elemental in almost every way... I doubt many people here can beat a game on Epic Vs max amounts of AI in Civ4. well you'd be wrong the RPG elements will make this game immensly more complex. [/quote] Nope. Adding a few spells

Glen Cook is probably not the best writer out of the bunch... but his is probably the darkest series of books I have ever read. The characters are great as well. It almost reminds me of a war movie with fantasy to be honest. Like following a platoon of guys @ war who rape and kill with magic and get eaten/killed/etc by all sorts of characters who are all sorts of shades of evil... I think I need to give Steven Erickson another chance. I tried his first book but I just couldnt rea

No even in it's somewhat poor current state I'd rather play Elemental. Agree as Civ V is just another repeat of Civ I. Civ II is best anyway so I don't know why people want to throw good money away on yet another rendition when they probably haven't

The AI in this game is the WORST I have ever played against in ANY 4X game let alone comparing against great games like civ4. To be honest I dont really think any of the games stardock made has very good AI. Even Gal Civ2 was fairly easy if you just kept your military at decent levels until you were able to build mass fleets of doom. I mean playing diety on Civ4 VS 15 or 16 AIs is FREAKING difficult, this game is so so so below that level....

Worse than that, retailers would have refused to stock the game if it was released on Impulse first. Nothing can be worse than ruining your

I have yet to see any bug other then the ALT tab crash. But man the AI is bad, really really bad. If any AI city is near me I just waltz right in and take over as they do not have much D. The AI is very docile as well. Although I have seen a few AI controled factions get conquered by other AI factions.
