What ive ended up doing is in the cartographer I loaded each stamp one by one and made note of which ones contain lots of water. I then deleted those stamps from the game folder, so now when I generate maps there is very little water to begin with and I can either leave it as is or fill in the remaining water.

[quote who="parrottmath" reply="238" id="3381764"] 1) There is no option for this 2) There is no way of editing the stamps into the editor. The best you can do is place a stamp to look at what the stamp has. 3) If you search through them yourself the tile that states 'water' is the tile called submerged. Many of the stamps actually do not have submerged tiles in them, it is how the program stitches them together that provides the water. 4 --
So im trying to get a random huge world without water, or as little water as possible. At the very least in the center of the map, not too worried about the outsides. So few questions: 1) Is there a "no or little water" option somewhere I could toggle? 2) Is there a way of modifying the base stamps to remove water from them, or even more simply, how can you load the stamps for editing in the workshop? 3) Does anyone know the names of some of the stamps that contain a l

[quote who="Mmrnmhrm" reply="19" id="3301302"]Can someone name a land based game similar to this that has a better AI? I'd really like to hear it. HOMM VI? Warlock? MOM? Civilization V? Other than Galactic Civilizations, which doesn't have magic, I can't think of one. I can't win above Hard on a typical map. If you really want the best challenge, IMO, you really need to play as each player and design lots of units. This game's A
OP, see me thread on the issue: https://forums.elementalgame.com/438622
Well its certainly possible to get lucky and have the AI do something impressive, but I think thats just circumstance rather than proper planning. Ive yet to see the AI do ANYTHING impressive even just once and im playing on difficulty settings where all the best routines are supposed to be used (or so it says).
The AI in 1.12 is flat out broke when it comes to waging war. Its fine fighting other AIs as they are broke too so it evens things out, but against the player it is just crippled. On my current map I setup a me vs team of 4 vs team of 4, all AIs set to Expert. I figured id sit in the corner building up my empire while the 4 vs 4 duked it out, and when one of them was winning (or had won) they would then come after me. That part worked out beautifully and eventually after many hours I had the
Just thought id mention that I saw Elemental mentioned on front page of CNN in the following story: http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/gaming.gadgets/09/09/video.game.piracy/index.html?hpt=C2 Although its a small section of the article nonetheless it says: "New strategy game "Elemental: War of Magic" has also sparked debate by promising to forego digital rights management, re
Option for it in the config file, its turned on, just not in the game yet I dont think
Actually just fixed it, make a new save game, then load that save game

None of my units can be moved after 1.06. Theyre all stuck wherever they were. Cannot progress to next turn either
After patching from 1.05 to 1.06 none of my units can be moved.
"+ Hooked up the projectile follow camera code to obey the Auto-Move Camera in Tactical option." Wooohoo!!
Im one of those people who after 10-15 hours of playing is yet to see a single crash on max settings 1920*1200 with 4x AA. Yes ive seen plenty of little bugs in the game, but nothing to cry bloody murder over. There will always be people who cant get a game to work or the game doesnt run well on their system for whatever reason. Supreme Commander 2 for example after like 12 patches still has people posting that they cant get the game running at all.
Suggestions: - option to disable camera arrow following - option to speed up combat - option to speed up world movement - ability to see characters equipped inventory in a store so you can make direct gear comparisons
What also sucks is that using Custom (so I get full screen borderless window) I can then move that using UltraMon to the other monitor, and it looks correct, but the mouse pointer is screwed up as its I guess aligned to the other resolutions size. Grrr!
Well the Custom thing would work if I could get the game to remember the previous monitor it was opened on, or have some way of specifying which monitor to open on.
I dont get a borderless maximized window, I get a window with a border, regardless of resolution. If I set the resolution to Custom it gives me a maximized borderless window, but its not resizable and its always opened in my main monitor into its resolution. I want it 1680*1050 maximized borderless in the 2nd screen, not the 1920*1200 on the main
Bump
Well, thats unfortunate. Stardock? Fix please :)
Can you disable the arrow cam where the camera follows each and every arrow? And is there a way of seeing your characters inventory in the store so you can compare to what you have already equipped? Or sell what you have equipped without first leaving, unequipping, and then reentering?
Now thats a nasty bug or problem! :(
Well not only are the borders bad, but the top border causes the bottom of the window to get cut off. WoW I think is the only game in history that allows you to play in maximized borderless windowed mode which is just plain terrific and I have no idea why other games dont do the same.
