All you folks that have "Vista problems" either have: 1) A PoS computer/computer hardware 2) Substandard computer hardware or 3) Computer hardware whose Vista drivers are sh*t The OS itself is the best Microsoft ever released, and will continue to be, until Windows 7 is RTM. A week ago I bought a Microsoft Sidewinder X8. So far it is the best mouse I have ever owned. No lag whatsoever is FPS and WoW. It is just slightly larger than a normal mouse, I was using a Logitech MX Revolution, but I quickly got used to it. This update doesn't do anything on my machine. The new feature (Explorer Backgrounds) tab shows up, but when I apply any of the textures it just crashes Explorer.exe and closes my WindowBlinds window. No changes to my Explorer windows. I am on Vista Ultimate SP1.

The only version I can see in SDC is 1.90[b].023, which is the one I have installed. I tried changing the server and refreshing the XML on both servers(US-1 and US-2), yet I do not get the new v2.0 beta listed.

My fiance bought a new laptop recently and it had vista on it, he cant uninstall it, he says it sucks and its not compatable with ANYYYYTHING. He also said you have to confirm every little thing you do LOL. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Get him an appointment at the ER and have his lips stitched shut.

OMG, you are the man! I went into the ffdshow configuration like you said. All the WMV decoders were disabled. I set them all the wmv9, and all the .dreams work now. Thanks a ton!

Does the WMV video work when played in Windows Media Player? Have you installed any codec packs? Ya know, they work great when played through Media Player. WTH?!?! As far as codec packs, I have DiVX and ffdshow installed. I may try uninstalling them when I get home.

RottGutt, can you take a screenshot of the problem? I've tried to repro the issue, but with no luck. I haven't been able to get my hands on a 7000 series card to test, and I haven't heard of anyone reporting an issue with any other series card. I would be glad to take a screenshot. Thanks for all the replies ya'll! I downgraded to the v100.65 drivers with no luck, then installed the latest drivers I could find (v165.01) with no luck either. I guess I am just SOL for now.

Hello, I have an issue which may not be common, but I think this is the best place to ask. Some .dreams I download look as they are supposed to, but some of the .dreams I download and run look like total crap. It is as if they are runing in "4-color" mode or something. I don't have a solution for you, but just wanted to let you know you are not alone. It does the same thing on my system. Specs are: Pentium 4 3.2 GHz 1 Gig PC3200 ATI x800 w/256 megs RAM If it doesn't run flawless on this system, then there is definitely something not right with it.
