Strange.... my problem was with my friend on my wireless N and myself on a wired connection to the router. I played with another buddy last wekend and he brought over his desktop and I had no such problems with him (we were both wired). Its really strange because when I had my laptop I used to play with my buddy with his laptop and we were both on wireless with no problems what so ever. D-Link DIR-615 by the way.

I have an issue where aevery 10 seconds or so I get about a 1 second lockup then everything goes back to working fine for the next 10 seconds and then it all repeats over and over. It has caused me to be unable to play this game over my local network with my friends which is really the only time I ever play this game. The game works just fine for everyone else over my router so I know that is not the issue. I have not tried playing online, but I assume it is the same. When I play a single pla

Thanks for the reply even though it is quite disheartening. I have a quad core i7 860 @ 2.8ghz, 4gb of ddr3 ram @ 1600mhz, oc'd gtx 275 and a 1tb sata 2 7200rpm hdd so I believe my simspeed would be a non-issue. Seeing as many of the stardock people like to game on windows 7 i would assume its nothing to do with it. I just made a new computer and on my old one running Vista 64 I had no such problems mind you I am using the same router setup so it should not be affecting it we have had several lans with several different computers and never had this problem. Now I am running Windows 7 64 and in the multiplayer (was playing a local game 4v4 with a friend) I have stuttering every 10 seconds or so it locks up for about a seond. Windows 7 I have an intermittent freeze for about a second then 10 seconds smooth then freeze again. This is the final version not the RC. I am glad to hear GPG is working hard on a couple patches because as it stands this game is in shambles. Its fun, but so much is keeping it down its actually quite embaressing. I love Supreme Commander with FA and Sins is the best so I know these companies have it in them to make an extremely enjoyable and polished game so here is to hoping hard work and little bit of time will bring out the greatness in this game.

I love what they are doing. For me I think because it is a small digital download only expansion the only way to go is release it as a beta so they can really work with the community to make it the best they can. This way it is going to be extremely balanced, bug proof and hopefuly have more content because of the community working with them. I think this way is great and should be a model to follow. The way I see it is I am getting mroe for my money.
