I'm having problems selecting individual ships out of an entire stacks to access such features as "upgrade" "sentry" or "guard" -- and I can't find a hotkey shortcut for upgrade! -- and I'm wondering what the trick is. This would be especially usefull for ships that are "in orbit" around a planet that I want to upgrade "in place". Also needed to select 1 fleet out of 2/3 in a square that I'm using to besiege an enemy planet, so I can pull out damaged ships and rotate undamaged ones back in.<BR

Its because the federalists +20% econ skill is overpowered (at least, it always seemed that way to me -- unless I was going for a war based race, +20% to my econ was always better than whatever the "natural" government would be for that route)

Another reason your ships might stink is because (with a few exceptions) they don't really come pre-designed -- its best (IMO) to upgrade them every couple of new technologies, whereas the pre-made ships will only pop up if you have THEIR list of tech requirements... which usually doesn't happen (for me) untill long after I've had the fun of designing a new vessel. Is there any way to take ships OFF the "don't turn green if this ship hasn't moved" list? I've tried a few things, but I still can't figure out how to "park" a defensive fleet on top of a threatened starbase when, say, the previous tenants just had an accident and I just HAPPENED to have a constructor -- and a battlefleet! -- ready to replace it...

He's asking for what they're an analog of... warm blooded? Cold blooded? (There are some other things in there that are involved in "yes its a mammal" but I dont' understand the biology of them, so oh well) and those aren't really "this is an ****"" question as "whats it like" question.

Lol, beat me to it... I came over simply to whine about the one on the tiny human ship -- the one with a cockpit fore, large fin on top and small fin on bottom has a reversed hardpoint on its starborde side, front.
