I'm somewhat disappointed with the game at launch. The pre launch version of the game crashed on me repeatedly. The current version works as well as any game but the magic is generic. I'm looking forward to see what they do about that.

Heh. I learned about QuarterToThree.com thanks to PC Gamer and discovered a hilarious thread: http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showthread.php?t=60997 Check out the asshole parade in that thread. It's hilarious. They're obsessed with Brad Wardell.
Brad's posts had me thinking the beta was going to make me catch cancer or something. I think he might be right. I don't want to get my hopes too high but how many YEARS away is this? Don't get me wrong I like it. I just think there's a long....long....LONG way ahead. Keep up the good work. and good luck!
I'm surprised anyone defending Steam exclusivity would try to ignore the modding issue. I presume they don't use mods? Steam requires games to have the latest version of the game without exception. Mods, by contrast, sometimes lag behind a bit and have to be updated. My favorite mod might not work with the latest version right away.
I'm sure you also still use a horse and buggy, refusing to buy a car (which they only created so they would have a larger market for crude oil anyway)
You consider a world where all PC games come from Steam to be progress? Interesting.
I've owned every Civilization title since the first. I won't be getting Civilization 5. I don't hate Steam (though I'm starting to) I just don't like my PC games starting to feel kludged together and that's what every Steamworks game feels like to me. Supreme Commander 2 anyone?
Be careful, Brad. Beta 1Z is pretty damn fun. If it weren't for the out of memory problems I'd be one of those people saying to quit being so perfectionist.
I liked Civilization IV but they'll need to do something special for Civ V to get me to buy it. With all the mods I've got for Civ IV already it'll have to be pretty spectacular. I'm on the fence.
Does Civilization 5 have dragons?
It's kind of a stretch including elemental in the company of those games.
You some kind of troll? Elemental not in the same company as Civilization 5? What planet you been living on?
