You are a cutie. I bet that baby will be also...and a happy one too.

You got an insightful for me.
DH, It is useless to live with regret. It serves no purpose. You came through for your family. That is the important thing. Your story truly reveals...You are a softy. Be proud of that. Hurry with the next part, please!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful is the strong, brave wife of a strong, brave husband. Oh, that the world had more like you. I can imagine you are both the kind of people who though you have many more reasons to crab and complain can still wear a smile on your faces that will be an uplifting force for those around you. Thank God for your courage, your committment and for your ability to give so generously.
Thanks for the quote. It needs to be repeated often...so keep it on file and post it again and again.
Evil can be found anywhere we choose. If this type of x-ray will stop terrorists from getting on planes with weapons, I am all for it. Our right to privacy is minimal in comparison to what evils a terrorist can spread.
Most of your friends are unknown to me but since they are serving our country they deserve to have my best wishes and prayers and they shall have it. Nice of you to remember them! Happy Birthday Geezer, you I know a little. Greywar's is coming up soon also on the 20th. I wish I were able to be there to bake him a cake!
Yes, xtine, we were coming back from ND and were around the Fergus Falls area as darkness became complete. It was then that I saw those beautiful lights that you described. I was happy I was not driving so that I could enjoy them for the remainder of our trip.
I am glad you were there for them. Sorry that others did not care enuf to be there too. I know that you have a compassionate heart as well as a razor-sharp tongue. Rail on. It may do some good.
Ouuuuuuuuuuuu how I loved this post! You describe your feelings so well. You have been through the fire and survived.
The prayers have been sent. You sound like the right person for the job...with your compassion and especially your sense of humor.
Great story with so much pathos... I hadn't heard about your daughter K. Good man to love her so.
You have my admiration in this and many other things. Gossip is not a popular subject, but is a popular activity. I am glad that you are not one of those that loves to indulge in it. There are so many cohorts of that evil, not the least of which are deceit, malice, slander, arrogance, cruelty and pride. Those are hate filled things that the good Lord abhors. When evil comes out of our mouths, it is an indicator of what we hold in our hearts. “By their
Insighful. May this kind of wisdom spread far and wide. How anyone can let cloudy weather, a team's loss, a word of criticism, a broken nail, an imagined slight, a cancelled event, etc. bring on depression and worse is beyond me. There is always another day and it should not be spent lamenting about the past. Good post.
May it ring joyously forever!
I finally caught on to the meaning of your blog after I had chased down many paths of google. Keep educating me!
Ha! Ha! Good humor! There are many stories that I didn't tell you, just as there are many you haven't told me.
There were several male boarders who were older than I. They flirted with me constantly. One of them was especially obnoxious. One day, after he had made a very explicit pass at me, I lost my temper and slapped him a good one. Immediately, I was sorry and scared. He was a very bright lad and he recognized his chance to hold me hostage. He said that he would be telli
Ha! I am not even going to look. They don't keep records back that far!
Although I took my temporary vows in September 1947, I stayed in Spring Valley until January of 1948. I went to “finish” high school at Oakwood, ND where the nuns of our order ran a Catholic School. I was allowed to sit in the classroom with the other students but I was never called upon to answer questions or allowed to participate in any discussions. A
We had a fireplace once when we lived on the lake. I loved the fire but hated the dust and dirt that it brought into the house. During a raging blizzard it was indeed a comfort.
Your name is courage. You may still have your moments of fear or even self-pity, but I don't see those moods lasting too long.
I hope you get a great job...with no big blizzards to block your way this winter...high wages...a wonderful boss... the most considerate co-workers...a top of the line office...all that you dream of...
God speed. Enjoy the process. Enjoy the results no matter how long it takes.
Oh how I can remember those same feeling that you express so well. I still remember vividly the first time I held my child in my arms. I held him close to me and tiny as he was he wrapped his little arms around my neck and held on tight. I will never forget that feeling of closeness and blessedness. What a gift a child is even when they are now grown and on their own.
