Very good advice, I have only one point I would question: I definitely agree with point 1: Pretend that the person you are writing to is standing in front of you in person. But then you say in point 3: <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-T

Well done dharma....I think I am going through some sort of spiritual midlife crisis at the moment....so I am into 'making a difference'

Environmentally I would prefer to be buried than cremated....there is enough shit in the atmosphere already without people breathing me as well. As an alternative, the concrete bunker sounds foul.....give me a nice damp hole in the ground.....

greywar, I think it probably falls into the same category as natural disasters. Here in Australia, if 100 people die in floods in the US or Britain it is front page news. If 100 people die in Botswana or Baghladesh you'll be lucky to find anything on it. Atrocities are happening all over the world, but how many do we hear of?

pseudosoldier, I guess I feel out of my depth comentating on military stuff without a military background....whereas people like yourself and greywar write from a position of experience. But I also agree I would like the UN to take a greater role....in fact I think its essential to try and rectify the problems there. And I definitely agree with <TD class="

I'm not sure how much I should be pushing them. This is the eternal question and is something so difficult to judge. I reckon parenting is the most difficult job I have ever done. All I reckon we can really do is to provide the environment for them and encourage them. The hard part is where does encourageme

Valleyboy, Good to hear that you are still on the face of the earth...where are you now? My email is [email protected] (dont ask why yumcha) I still like this site and I will stay within the bounds of what they consider acceptable....mind you it's the only site I have been on so let me know if you find somewhere new. As for the travel journal....I will get there but I want to make sure it's right...also it's been busy lately with ki

dharma, that depends on what you like I like stories about people and they don't have to have too much action as long as the characters are strong. I just finished a book by Paul Theroux called Hotel Honolulu which I really enjoyed. I will be reading more of him. I will push my favourite author yet again. Somerset Maugham wrote some excellent short stories and you can easily find the collections of them at the library, the good thing about

I think this is just repeating what dharma said but here goes anyway: I think of Brad as two seperate people (maybe he's a gemini.) One person is the creator and administrator of JU. He does an excellent job of this....generally doesnt interfere with people unless they get really out of line. I will be eternally grateful to him for this fantastic site. He and the team have put a lot of work into it and we get to use it for nothing. How good is
