I say take your time. Don't worry about releasing public beta builds until you're ready, and definitely don't rush the game to release. Just keep releasing screenshots and videos and keep us updated as to the changes that are going in. It's not like there aren't a gazillion other games out there right now to keep busy with ;)
I kindof agree on this one... Make it like Civ 4 where the improvement is automatically placed as it doesn't really matter where it goes. It's probably a holdover from galciv. If you're going to keep the same system, make it so there's a reason for placing a building in certain places (like a bonus for one building being next another).
I thought FE would be improved from WoM but wow! This is a beta 1? This is still months from release? With the FE beta coming out tomorrow and the start of yet another fun trip through the rollercoaster that is the Stardock beta process, I'd like to echo a sentiment that is on mine and probably many other's minds as well. Most of us, including myself, started following Elemental in the first place because we were looking for a successor to Master of Magic. WoM definitely wasn't it and I'm hoping that with the inevitable tweaking that will be part of the beta proc
