I find it wonderful that you do that and hilarious that you called it what you called it....bunnies..... I and my husband always play with the "watch the change spiral down to the whole and listen for it to clink" thingy....I find it amusing to! Every little bit helps....no matter what it is. They appreciate it. Kudos to Rex and Unfairman!

JeremyG, Glad you figured it out! :) HEHEHEHE! Yes, feel free to copy and paste!! I am glad that you enjoyed it. It made me feel so sentimental..... OK I teared up....a little... :) Firefly, You are right, we do die alone. And there are times that people feel alone (been there) if with loved ones around. I am the only one inside my head....there fore I am alone. It's my heart and soul that are not alone. They will alwa

I find it horrible that some of you are complaining about her leaving......Why not just tell her bye and leave at that? Why say this is a cry for attention? So what if it is, if she chose to stay, then we know she was lying, and she loses her credibility. No need to be mean. If I was leaving the site, I would want some closure, to say bye to the people with whom I have debated with and share things with. Some of you have made quite a bond with one ano

I sat on the porch on a summer day, drinking iced tea and visiting with my Mother. As we talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities and the obligations of adulthood, my mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance in my direction. "Don't forget your girlfriends," she advised, swirling the tea

Honesty IS the best policy.... so they say... I think it's great that you can look at yourself honestly! I never got any rules changed at school...I barely followed the ones they had! ;) I enjoyed it!

You can not do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~ I love this quote. It is one of my favorites!! Just like any great quote, it just made a wonderful impression on me. I read it every day. I have a copy at home and at work! I need a little extra inspiration sometimes.... Don't we al

I was blinded by the darkness, I searched with my mind and I found wisdom, I searched with my soul and I found peace, I searched with my hands and I found creation, but still i could not see... Till i searched with my heart and I found passion, Whose flame became part of me Dissipating my darkness and, I finally learned to see... <

dharma, I understand where you are coming from. I am a Navy wife. My hubby won't go on any ship, no, he goes to Bahrain. *sigh* I am very proud of ALL who serve OUR country. And also saddened by the grief suffered by the loss of life. No matter what, I could never prepare myself for the Marine walking to my door. In the words of my mother.....(and I am sure some famous person) This too shall pass.

Wow. Great article. Definitely food for thought. I myself do not follow the mainstream in religion either. In the truest sense of the word I am atheist, but the definition also states " godless " I am not " godless." I just have more than one. :) Great article!!

Since there wasn't a huge response I will go ahead and tell you what it is. It is a tree on a breezy day. Simple isn't it? If I could only find the words to describe the dream.

There you are, standing alone. Piercing the riches that nourish you. Round with age, never reaching the sky. Filling with ever flowing enchantments. Whispering and spreading the life of spring. Harboring sweet songs of the innocent. There you are, standing alone. This came about from a very interesting dream I had.

A BEAUTIFUL DAY I woke up early today, excited over all the things I get to do before the day ends... My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have. Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or... I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free. Today I can grumble about my health

In the state of NM you are required to re-apply for assistance every 3 months. That way they can keep a closer eye on you. Thinking about it, I was probably on it for a shorter period of time. I remember applying only twice. It hardly worked though. (the check up system) While at school, I learned a lot....so many of the women there were on full welfare, recieving full benefits. All of them, and I mean, ALL of them were able to work. Hello! If you

Some choices made are bad choices. I own up to mine. My ex-husband and I got married when I was 16. My son was born, I was 17 years old. Ok, my choices. I didn't see any other alternatives at the time. He wouldn't "allow " me to finish night school to get my GED. I had to work instead. (Jerk) I had another son, two

OK OK that was unfair! Now I am a little teary eyed! It's bitter sweet... to be reminded that there are some things in life to be thankful for. The ones we take for granted on a regular basis. The simple things, like, our sense, sight, smell, touch.... Thank you for the reminder.

I think it is a fantastic philosophy. In fact, I try to follow that everyday of my life. It gets hard some times, everyone expects there to be an attachment to the help. Example: My hubby and I bought a McDonalds meal for a man walking along our local highway, he was really scared by us and the fact that we offered him this food. We had to assure him we wanted nothing in return, or that we didn't want to hurt him. It's sad really, he thought we wa
