[1.0][Bug] Fog covers everything

from Elemental Forums

Got the game today, started tutorial, this is what i see after the initial video subsides:

 

When i zoom out enough, it switches to looking like:

 

So far i've tried... well, just about everything except reinstalling windows:

-updated my gfx drivers

-rebooted

-reinstalled the game

-verified the game files

-ran the redist files

-opted into the beta

-searched the forums for an hour or two

 

any ideas?

 

My specs: intel core i7 3770k | ati radeon HD 7850 | 8gb ram | win7 pro 64bit

Keep searching forums. I think I heard this issue before, and it had to do with anti-aliasing settings. Do you have a catalyst control center? 

Try messing with the anti-aliasing settings on your graphics card.

I have the same problem, only none of the advice here has worked for me.  A company like this should have the ability to A: Refund unhappy customers, or B: have an active support desk to help customers rather than making them wander through forums.

Have you tried emailing [email protected]?  They are usually very responsive, except on holiday weekends.
