Alarmingly stupid. The issue is also reported and confirmed here.
A minimum 4-tile distance between outposts should be introduced for the AI, and also an algorithm to determine the best position to place one, in order to cover as many resources as possible. I'm sure it will be done.
I sure hope so, I was just kind of messing round in this game, had a great start and poor Magnar kind of got blocked in so maybe he was bored and trying a bit of area decoration with Outposts.
Magnar: "Minions you know what this area needs it needs some outposts, one there and what the hell put 2 over there, now let's see how it looks........ Yes, Yes I like it."
Haha, now that you put it like that such a construction style does seem in character for a slave master.

I think I found the bug that causes this. Will be testing. It's amazing how something that seems unrelated can affect another thing.

P.S. The game is loads of fun to play now, with a few tweaks to the balance you will have yourself a winner. You were right about the visuals, it looks beautiful.
I can understand, having talked with some people designing websites sometimes the tinor metails will mess up the whole site.
