thank you, you submitted it to support via the ticket system on the website?

No I just emailed it. I didn't see where to submit tickets. The link you gave was an email address no?

also, how many of the crash logs do you want lol?

yea that should work, you can also e-mail them to me direct in this case: [email protected]

having all those probably isn't needed right now, I would suggest sending the newest ones time stamp wise then clearing the directory out. In the future if you check for a dump in there right when it crashes and can remember what you were doing when it happened to note in the report that is super helpful.

Thanks

Ok cool. I'll forward the email to you as well. Also a side note, I can keep playing my game, and as long as I don't have to load then I don't have a problem saving. The crash comes if I load and then try to save, though I was having that problem earlier in the game, so may it's just cause I'm a decent number of turns into the game. Not sure. Haven't tried starting a new game yet.

I'm running 64-bit Win 7 with 8GB of ram and get crashes every 15-30 mins or so. Not a memory issue I don't think though, task manager says that FE only gets up to around 1.2GB of ram before I crash. Usually it's when I click on the end turn button, so maybe something with the autosave. The files have been submitted, hope it helps.

Just out of curiosity what programs do you guys have running in the background? It's true E:WoM did have some memory issues, but for me I only hit them when playing on insanely huge custom made maps ( I also have 6 gigs of RAM). With as often as it's happening to you guys it's making me think there might be a conflict with something else you may have running. Have you tried turning off any active virus blockers and such that eat into your active memory? Norton as well as many others all leak like a sieve when it comes to memory and can cause many other programs, including games, to crash often.

I do have skype running in the background, and after what Microsoft did to it, that could be the issue. I also have super anti sypware running it's spam shield thing. I did have iTunes running at one point. I also have firefox open

Ouch, yeah brother try turning some of that stuff off after doing a fresh reboot, then play and see what hapens. All of those can take chunks out of active memory and bog down games and other programs.

So the more you save the more memory the game starts using? I have autosave set to save every turn and I definitely crash about every 45 minutes of gameplay and it is definitely because of a memory leak I will get around to uploading the files later.

does anyone else know if they are having memory leak issues?

and I thought that Windows begins to swap things out of memory into the swap file if a program needs more memory o_O ...

and if those listed programs fullfills a 16GB RAM PC I would be more than surprised ;P

This is what Frogboy said about reloading save games and starting new games after starting the game for the first time:

Frogboy's post

If it applies to saving too, it even more needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Hey Kestral I got an email saying a ticked had been opened, but when I went to check on it - it was closed with no responses. Did I send it to the wrong place?

Well, I´m having that kind of problem too. Not only when I save/reload without exiting the game, but in the mid to late games I got crashes out of the blue, when I´m playing a regular turn, without any saving/reload.

So far, I haven´t been able to finish a single game......

I´ve noticed the crashes occours when memory consuption gets close to 5gb (I got 8gb in a 64bit win7)

I have just emailed about 40 crashes reports to [email protected] as frogboy instructed.

I don´t think I will be playing again until the game gets more stabe. I can´t give feedback on mid to late stages of the game since the crashes render´s it unplayable.

I hope I have given my contribution to the star of the beta.

I eagerly awaits the next update.

Thanks for the good work stardock team! The pain of WoM is almos forgotten!
