NON-CLOTH MAP zoomed out

One of the new options is to have point of interest icons displayed.

This way, players can visually tell what is what without having to be on the cloth map.  I was curious to how well this worked out if I zoomed way out without relying on the cloth map.

Here it is a bit more zoomed in where you might actually use it:

And here it is really zoomed in:

You can turn off the point of interest icons by type. I turn them off on the monsters because, well, I really don’t need an icon to tell me that it’s a monster. But I keep them on goodie huts and on NPCs and Quests.

please please please don't lose the cloth-map. I love the look and feel of that part of the game.

I do, sometimes pygmi bears is hiding the forests, and comes out to eat me!! (I am actually serious, some monster icons are REALLY small and hard to see :))

Perhaps a silly question, but how do you rotate the camera left and right?

I also agree that less-straight coastlines would be visually appealing.

...Also, more choke points, please.

You can click your mouse wheel (or its equivalence) and drag to turn the camera, but it'll snap back if you don't turn off the snap back option off in the settings. You can also hit 1-4 for the default camera settings.

Might just need smaller icons for monsters / units because some might be hard to spot physically from that altitude.

I have trouble with any altitudes... except beeing zoomed damn close in.
Meaby give monster and unit stacks a "platform" under theyre feet, or a special circle around theyre feet for easy recognition, they are pretty damn important to notice.

Now there is monster icons, where is the "Enemy Faction's Units" icon??
