1.09n[b].109: File download error

I saw there was an update Impulse and keep getting the error:

"File downloaded is smaller than expected"

I am on version 1.09n[b].108 and am trying to update to 1.09n[b].109

 

I also just got the Internet access message. This is the first time I have seen that. I am connected, as I am typing this on the same PC as Elemental. No FW or AV issues.

Is something up with Impulse?

I'll say ignore it.  I ended up having 109e reinstalled by mistake.  After a mild wtf, I got the latest installed again.  A error of some kind.:(

How can you update to beta guys, now that this problem exists?

I have 1.09e and want to get the beta, but it only gives me the latest beta that is not downloading.

Any help there please?

I have had this problem since I bought the game last week, I did a forum post but received no help in getting this game running from Stardock.

I am very disappointed in their customer service.

I bought it a week ago, which is several business days prior to Thanksgiving.

In my view, going on holiday when their distribution system is not working is very unprofessional.

They've had holiday related staging problems before IIRC and I'd be surprised if they didn't learn from this experience.

It's one of two things they need to work on IMO (the other being third party expansion pack related issues.)

After everything else, now not being able to install this game for over a week due to the download service being out?  This is now enough to officially move me over to GOG for all future purchases.  I will take files that I can store myself and use when desired, thanks.

You still not able to install?

Are you sure you do it right?

Problem was fixed 2 days ago i think, you should be able to install everything correclty now.

Start by installing the stable version first and then go for the beta if it helps, i think thats where your problem is.
