[1.08] Imbue Champ turns Sovereign into a non-channeler

While not exactly a bug, it's a pretty funny occurrence.

I cast Imbue Champion when I had 3 essence left on the sovereign.

Of course, that brought the essence down to zero. The sovereign was no channeler any more.

And non-channelers cannot increase essence on level-up, either.

And the only channeler who could re-Imbue the sovereign would be the soverign herself.

 

Maybe imbue should only work if the sovereign has > 3 essence...

Actually there is a very simple solution.    The spell has a mana cost!

It's also hardcoded to remove 3 essence from the sovereign.

So set the mana cost to 4 and it cannot be cast if you have 3 or less essence...

that would also make it 25% more expensive 3 essence is one lvl, and then once you get into high tech lvls it becomes less important (most games i have over 40)

i'd like to know what happens with the multipliers from buildings..

 

say.. you have a base of 10 mp... and get a building that ups 50% -> 15 mp

 

when you imbue (say.. a loss of 4 mp).. what do you lose the mp from? new base of 6 -> 9 mp total? 11 mp total?

 

don't know if i misremembered.. but i think kingdom/empire uses different amount of mp for imbue?

Pretty sure you lose it from the base.  The two champions I imbued in my current game both started with 6 mana, and both times my Sov lost 6.  Don't know how many Temples of Essence I had though, but going by the math I should've had 2, so I would've lost the 3 ess. for the imbue plus the 100% bonus on that ess.
