But I'm an organized man!

Give us back the organized trait BUT nerf it: armies lead by sovereigns with the organized trait move no less than half of that sovereigns move points. In other words, army move points >= sovereign move points / 2.

wouldent work really - so if you say got horse + soverign you would be a 4  (2) then 4 levels later (3)  wouldent be worth it in my book :D

I would much rather have  PathFinding!! reduces cost of overland terrain penalties

Well then if it wouldn't be worth it for you, you could choose not to select it.

Eh...

7 movement is pretty easy.  Start with tracking and adventurer, that's 4.  Get a horse, and 2 other movement increasing items, that's 7.

3.5 gives you a 4 move army then, something you'd need to spend vast amounts of resources on equipping them all with two movement boosting items.

That said, base two movement in a 4x with tactical combat is horrific.  6-8 would be a much better base range.

Quoting Terrorball, reply 5
You can just use a old soverign that still has the trait. Still works.
End of Terrorball's quote

And for those who want to make a new sovereign?

I already suggested changing Organised to letting a stack move at the average speed of all it's units.
That's a quite literal way of seeing it.
Worth maybe 4-5 sovereign pick points.

It would let the stack move at "reasonable" speed without a single slow unit killing the speed completely.
You want fast units? You create fast units, using horses, traveller boots... the works. It would not be free.
But it would also avoid insanity like moving a whole stack of golems at speed 7+ at no cost whatsoever.

Kids these days!

When I was your age, I was thankful for units with a movement of more than one! Three tiles was ludicrously fast! :D

Seriously though, I'd rather see movement go up less, and see abilities and effects that decrease the cost of overland movement because of what having 7 movement does to tactical combat.
