[Suggestion] Turn off Janusk

After four or five games i would really like the option to turn of jasnusk's advice. I have enough windows popping up at the start of every turn as it is.

Beyond this, i also feel it would be a lot fairer if male sovs got a female janusk, as female characters currently have an advantage by being able to marry much earlier. of course, if you had an incentive for waiting for a better spouse, that would negate the whole sticking point.

different advisors for empires would also be welcome. empresses could get a sycophantic grand vizier and emperors an adoring concubine. think this would add a little uniqueness to the campaigns.

Actually Janusk has an option to turn off his advice. It's in the options screen.

I think they need to add a special trait just for Janusk to make the female sovereign balanced.

Impotent. }:)

The option does too much. With Janusk on, you get annoying advice and a handy, free, second turn champion.

With Janusk off, you lose the advice, and moreover you lose the free second turn guarantee. It's a slightly harder difficulty setting, really.

Janusk really should just be a tutorial option, instead of a free merchant/hero who also gives advice.  At least that's my feeling on it.

You mean something like this:

Notice Impotent at the bottom and Fertile up top :).

Well, that's "impotent but likes to try nonetheless".

You made me fire up elemental to check if those were really in already lol. Did you mod those in or was that a photoshop :P? Or am I blind and actually missed em in game  ?

I modded them in :). I didn't really like "Ugly" determining the frequency of children because I am guessing these guys/gals being all powerful sovereigns can get it when they want no matter how they look.

When you play in MP, does everyone get their own Janusk?

The problem is though when you turn off Janusk, you don't get a replacement for him (minus the annoying advice pop-ups) at the start of the game. If you have him enabled, you get a free Champion with decent stats. It needs to be balanced with the off option so even with the option off you still get him, just without the advice. Starting without him seems unbalanced after getting used to starting with him and having him available as a leader.

You can always just go up to turn 2 with the option on, hire him, then turn the option off to keep him quiet.

Precisely!

Tbh, Janusk is just a HUGE and unfair player advantage. We don't need that jerk anyways. Look what he said to me one time!
