If you believe your package may have been lost in transit, please contact [email protected] to investigate and/or have a replacement shipped if need be.
Still nothing here today as of Monday the 13th.
Figure if nothing by the end of the week then i will have to ask sales to look into it.
Too bad if they knew some got lost why didn't they use a better method to ship with? I still can't understand why they ddn't ship these things to arrive during the same week as the games release. Wouldn't be that hard.
*joins the crowd of sad, sad Canadian pandas who have not received their LE copy yet*
I know it's not directly under Stardock's control, but it is still disappointing that it hasn't arrived yet. I want my dragon! ![]()
I decided to contact sales as kyro said. I have no idea if it could be "lost in transit" as I don't know how long USPS delivery should take, but I really doubt it should take this long. I suggest for everybody else to stop waiting and contact sales as well.
I hope in the future Stardock moves to a delivery system with tracking. How much extra would it cost?
I can't believe that all of the people who have posted here have had their deliveries lost in transit.
Well, why didn't you download it? I'm a canadian too. I live in Quebec and personnaly I download all my game now: faster, no hassel for the shopping/shipping fees/parking and I can do other thing while the game is downloading. But, it's totaly a personnal preference. By the way, sorry for my english, my teacher's moose got lost too often
.
Still no LE copy for me yet (in Toronto).
For those of you in Toronto looking for a boxed copy of the standard or the collectors - Game Shack at the Atrium by Bay and Dundas has several copies of both editions. They are charrging $69.99 (Canadian!) for the collectors edition, which I believe was the same price from Stardock, except theirs was in US funds, and that was before the $20 shipping fee. However, Im not complaining, I dont mind that they get an extra bit from me, I like their games and want to support them!
I just want my package to arrive already!
You can't download the goodies that come in the limited edition.
Oh, I did download the game on day 1, and I've played it quite a bit (shelved until 1.1 though). That's not the issue. When I pay shipping for something I expect it to arrive within a reasonable amount of time. If Stardock hadn't included the download option I'd be complaining very loudly after just a week, but because they did it's not that big a deal... yet. As the days pass by it's beginning to turn into an annoyance. It would have been faster (and cheaper) just to get Elemental from a game store, assuming the LE edition is available up here of course.
They won't have, but if you contact sales the first thing you'll learn is that not all copies shipped on the 24th. Mine wasn't dispatched till the 3rd, so I'm not expecting it till the end of this week.
The last time I ordered a game (Spaceward Ho! IV) from the states it took a month for USPS to deliver it. I complained and they sent a second copy by priority courier which arrived in a week. This was years ago but iirc part of the problem was that Canada Customs wanted to charge tax and brokerage fees on it.
So it is quite possible that all the Boxed copies of Elemental are stuck at customs.
Every so often I get things shipped over from the states using USPS. The only time I had a problem was when I bought that game. In fact I just received a package today which was shipped on the 1st of September using USPS. I prefer USPS over priority courier because the priority couriers want me to pay brokerage fees etc which often are more expensive than the item I bought in the first place.
The next questions would be, if they are indeed stuck at customs, what are we going to do with the custom fees. I feel inclined to refuse the parcel if they try to charge me custom fees. I don't want the goodies that badly.
I for one am not paying any more fees for the game. Cost way to much for what we got and has taken way too long. I was under the impression that you would get it next to the same time frame as released in the box stores and not have to pay a whole lot extra for it. The extra cost from ordering it from Stardock should pay the customs fees and I was led to believe that is what it was for.
I have been pretty quiet about the whole thing but the game isn't what they said it would be and the shipping is ridiculous. Getting pretty annoyed. This whole sham puts me off Stardock. Too much hype not enough actual goods.
Maybe all the Canadian copies got shipped to the UK? Some UK people reported getting two shipped copies. Btw, thanks for the info on the store Feeroper.
Ok this is bloody ridiculous. I am starting to lose faith in Star-dock. Granted I don't live in Canada, but I have also not received my LE.
NO tracking number or anything was one thing, but I haven't even received an email that my order has been shipped, some basic service I expect in this day and age.
My wife actually just complained that an unrelated package of hers has been stuck in customs for what will be 4 *weeks* come Thursday.
So something weird is going on.
For anyone still waiting in canada I just got mine in southern ontario. I was concerned as well because I read that other countries had recieved theirs. I was surprised when I saw it sitting on my doorstep it took so long I forgot it was even coming.
Well that is a bit of good news there truenova i live in London Ont maybe mine will be here soon as well.
I just got my le in richmond bc as well.
I just got mine today as well (Sept 14th). It cost Stardock $8.93(US) to ship it. With exchange we'll say an even $10. So the $20 delivery fee was INDEED a ploy to pocket money they did not deserve.
Ah, good point
I bough Mass effect 2 special edition and download the content, but I didn't know that with the special LE box there was actual physical goodies
. My mistake, sorry
.
I got 2 copies by mistake, one came on the 13th, the second on the 14th
I'm in montreal
No offence intended, but you guys in the Americas should be glad you even have a choice. We in the UK (and, I suspect, most of the rest of the world) had no choice but to pay for the game to be shipped from Stardock if we wanted a boxed copy. If I could have wandered into a shop and just bought a LE myself, I'd have done that.
It arrived! I iz heppy panda noaw!
