[Customization/Gameplay] Sovereign creation options

There should be a way to build a "wizard" Soverign because right now, there isn't.

Yes, you can boost Int/Wis but that only changes your potential casting power, not what you can use in your everyday battle against 2 wolves.

Int/Ess should affect the rate at which you regen mana. By boosting those to become a "true caster", you are already neglecting other stats - so you should be able to rely on magic more often than warlord sovereigns.

What I mean are traits like...

Channeler: Spell costs 80% of the mana for you, rounded down. A spell always costs a minimum of 1 point.

Master Channeler: Spell costs 60% of the mana for you, rounded down. A spell always costs a minimum of 1 point.

 Alternatively (or too)...

Some way to regen mana and/or make it possible to spend mana vs "trash".

A trait that boosts generic mana regen when in friendly territory.

A spell that you can cast on an elemental node/shrine (you can only be attuned to one shrine at a time) and that

- makes casting this element cheaper (depending on how far you are ?)

- regens mana at 1/turn but only the amount you spent on the matching element.

I have to agree in large part because playing a "Mage" is impossible as it stands now.

I spend 1/2 my leveling bringing up STR/DEX and buying better equipment so i can last long enough to finally cast a spell again in a few fights.

Equipment or Traits that will raise the amount of mana regen you have are really needed to be able to play a caster.

an Alternative should be Mastering Spells.... for lowered/no cost in mana...

As you invest more and more experience in Spells (*Costs would have to be calculated to make it worthwhile*) you don't need as much mana to cast them...

So, investing XP (or actually, ability points at level up) in spells, such as Raise/Lower land, will eventually cost you no mana to cast at all, making you truly mighty SpellCaster...
