[.806][crash] Hangs, and detailed graphics won't work

I pre-order and got the beta a couple days ago so please tell me if i'm missing something important.

When i start the Elemental Beta, the game hangs at the splash screen and main menu. sometimes i can get into a New Game veeery slowly, but then i can't see the Hero i chose, the background animation or the map. The hanging and slowness in itself makes the beta unplayable.

i have nVidia Geforce 6800 GT with updated drivers. My Firewall is turned completely off. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic\Screens has all the neccesary files to my knowledge, and MaxTextureAtlasWidth and MaxTextureAtlasHeight are at 1024 & 512

Malleus,

Have you disable advanced lighting and anti-aliasing in video options? I know advanced lighting will cause the hero and map problem and have heard anti-aliasing can cause problems.

Also, can you post the system specs listed at the top of your Debug.err file? (my games/elemental)

Thanks!

Thanks, that fixed the hero/map graphics problem, though the map terrain's graphics still can't seem to load, its a step in the right direction! There was alot at the top of the debug file so i'll put these and if you need the one on sound i can post that too-
