[.806][crash] built-in sound card makes Beta unplayably slow

I got the beta a few days ago, and it wasn't working. It would freeze at the splash screen and barely make it to the menu if i pressed alt-tab or ctrl-alt-delete. it was totally unplayable. So I went through and started deleting unneccesary things, and it still didn't work. So i went into bios and totally disabled the Sound driver thats on the AI series ASUS A8V 'deluxe' motherboard and it worked farely perfectly. after starting a few new games, it's for sure working (though veery laggy as a game progresses). So i haven't heard any of the sounds, music ect. of the betas :'(

I wanted to bring this to the attention of the Developers and anyone else having a similar problem. Help would be appreciated.

Ive Experienced the same problem before on a crappy rocketfish sound card so i changed computers and it worked fine on beta 3 but when they updated to 3a the problems came back on the new computers built in sound card. Right now im playing it on my TV through my video cards HDMI cable and it doesn't have the problem.

when all else fails i guess. i'd like it to be fixed in either beta3b or at least worked out by beta 4, so thats why i really wanted them to know. i think they know, im just making sure.

TACTICAL COMBAT cant wait.

I'm going to e-mail rad game tools about this problem, but I would like to know if it helps if you turn down the audio hardware acceleration, or if the only solution is to disable the sound card completely.

the only solution is to disable it. i tried decelerating it one click at a time, and at no acceleration it went into a new game but lagged out. then one click from full acceleration wouldn't even get into the main menu like before. since this audio is used by alot of people, i hope its fixed soon. (or at least before final release)

Simply updating to the latest version of Miles didn't help, so I'm still working with the people at Rad game tools on this.

Can you link your debug.err file so we have more detail about your system setup?

We think that we've got this problem fixed with Beta 3B, so please let us know if it helps.
