[Bug/Graphics] Graphical Artifacts

I am still having the same graphical artifact problem in v.803 as I was in v.802. They occur when accessing the kingdom screen or when designing a unit. They seem to disappear after a battle.

I'm still seeing this too. Also, for me it always runs in fullscreen regardless if I check or uncheck the fullscreen option before restarting.

What size window are you using? If it's the same size as your resolution (for example, my desktop is 1280x1024 so if my window is 1280x1024 - it will come out fullscreen anyway (bug?)

If I put the window at 1024x then it will be a window.

I did have this issue on .805.

Now, on .806 there are no graphical artifacts after entering and closing the technology screen.

However, after entering and closing the technology new, the frame rate drops to about 1 frame per second, completely slowing the game down.

I couldn't get pastebin to work, even when dividing the debug.err into smaller files, so I put them on DropBox:

EDIT: Never mind. I checked "GFX: Disable Point Sprites" in the Video options, now the artifacts are back and the frame rate doesn't drop.

My apologies.

Yea, still an issue in Beta 3B, this issue has been around all the back from  Beta 2!

I wish some one would define the graphic settings for ATI and Nivida video cards.

Try this workaround:

Yes after deleting this file I can confirm, after about half a dozen games, this workaround does seem to work. No more artifacts. Obviously a workaround to the problem, but nevertheless it works and i can play the game unimpeded by the graphical artifacts.

Rename/delete C:/Program files/Stardock Games/Elemental/gfx/fx/fxo/post_bloom.fxo
