Just joined Beta 3. I'm experiencing the same (thanks for the disable lighting tip  ).

In my experience the game will start up blurry/non-blurry randomly. However, if I go to desktop and then come back it will always go blurry if it wasn't already. Hope this added detail is of any value.

still present in v.806

Yup. Advanced lighting always does that for me too :(

Hmm... It didn't shown to me in 806 (but it was in 805), but it still happens - if I encounter new NPC, his icon (in the center of lower panel) always blurry. But it goes away, if I'll recruit it.

I still get the problem but not as much now as in earlier versions...

The shot above is with Advanced Lighting turned on. Note also how dark it makes things. Sometimes I've had the picture clear but the colour darkened.

-------------------------------------------------------------

So the answer is supposed to turn off Advanced Lighting. This clears it up in the short term but before long the screen picks up residue until it is almost as unplayable as the blurry screen...

The above image is from the same game with Advanced Lighting turned off. The screen degrades almost randomly if you open the Kingdom screen or any other screen. In one game I could clearly see the white form of a book.

I have also noticed that many of the NPCs have this sort of issue with their avatars at times.

yep, must be a pretty bad bug to have persisted for so long..

Basically, rename c:/program files/stardock games/elemental/gfx/fx/fxo/post_bloom.fxo.

Turn advanced lighting off.

That workaround needs to be stickied until it makes the next update since so many have this problem still.

Cheers for that it works, but for the graphical artifacts here, not the advanced lighting/blur problem which is still present.

Blur/flickering still an issue with 3c .92 build. Still 'fixed' by disabling advanced lighting in the video options.

Glad I found this post, in build 3, I have had this same exact issue on my nvidia card 4800 series 1 gig. So when I get home tonight I will attempt the round about fix to it. just putting my two cents in that infact the OP's screen shot is just like mine.
