[.90]nVidia players - if you're not getting corruption on opeining Kingdom Info...

...or if Advance Lighting isn't blurry for you

Please share what drivers you are using. I'm contemplating changing mine, again, in hopes of solving this. I'm using the latest official drivers (not the Beta set), 257.21

Edit: The corruption I'm talking about is where you open Kingdom Info screen and then when you close it you get some random texture overlaid on the screen. The game functions under that texture, but there's no way to get rid of it short of either turning on advanced lighting or going to the cloth map (and still any 3-D render will have the corrupted texture)

Edit 2: If you can get Advance Lighting to work (and, obviously, enabled in the game) also share your version.

I'm using 8800GT running drivers 197.45 via Windows 7 auto update. I get no corruption with all settings turned on.

For the non-advanced lighting issue with the random texture overlay after going to kingdom screen:

Please try deleting  (or renaming so you have a back-up) the following file in your elemental folder:

c:/program files/stardock games/elemental/gfx/fx/fxo/post_bloom.fxo

Then restart Elemental.

Does that fix the random texture overlay issue for you?

I am still looking into the other compatibilty problem with advanced lighting.

Thanks,

This seemed to work for me. No more ghosted screens. :)

I had the same issue.  This seems to be working.  Thanks Critter.

(I'm running a 9600 GT with version 197.45 driver on Win XP)

Yeah, thanks again CodeCritter.

Wow, 197.45 seems to be common, I might switch to it anyway lol :D
