Report Bad Starting Locations Here

If you are experiencing any of the following issues with map generation:

- Start locations very near to opponents
- Start locations on impassable terrain (mountains or sea)
- Start locations completely blocked off from other players
- Maps with rivers running across the sea
- Other strange terrain, especially if it would affect gameplay

Please open your debug.err file after this happens and look for a line like this:

Debug Message: Map Random Seed: 1253569728

End of quote

Then paste the number there into this thread with a description of the sort of map issue you had. Please do not respond here for issues resulting from starting a second game in the same session or loading a save, as those are different problems.

If the map issue you're seeing is one of the "other" kind, please include a screenshot too so we can see what sort of issue it is.

Update: We should have enough examples of bad rivers now, please keep further reports to start location issues.

Really weird map. Not only did the fertile lands disappear after I alt-tabbed, this was also one of the areas:

The map shows the 'photoshop brush' coastline in a bunch of places, including one where a river ends in half a square of that.

Inacessible goody hut. This map also has some rivers running into the sae, and an area with four spiderwebs right next to each other, and is just generally crappy: 1254579658
