Monster behaviors...

Now that we've seen some sort of AI in action (although not a very good one), I thought it would be a good idea to come up with different "personalities" that monsters and dungeon creatures could use:
- Avenger: Creature usually stays passive and is "attached" to a single area, or unit, or item, or whatever. When that area/unit/item/whatever is taken or destryed by a faction, the creature then attacks either the entire faction or just who/whatever took/destroyed the thingy. Sometimes the creature will stop attacking if the thingy is restored, but other times the only option is to kill it. The dragon in Beowulf (the poem, not the movie) and Gollum of LOTR are examples of Avengers, with the gold cup and the Ring as their "thingies", respectively.
- Patroller: An entity assigned to a specific area of land. It will attack any unit that moves into that land, but once it leaves the creature breaks off the attack.
- Bandit: Creatures with the "bandit" personality move all over the map, attacking weaker units and factions but not sticking around to finish off survivors. They will run from anything stronger than they are. Grendel demonstrated many of the characteristics of a Bandit enemy.
- Lurker: A lot like a bandit, but instead of seeking out targets, it stays largely in one place and lets victems come to it.
