For users who have version 1.02.49 (stand alone or from SDC) please post any problems you think are bugs here.

Note: A feature you wish the game had or a change in game play is not a bug. ;)

1. Limit the damage that a random occurance can do. I had space pirates attack me. I had no defense and they only attacked me and wiped out my planets. This was too much especially on easy mode!

2. The economy went to hell quickly and I had negative income. No changes in the economic sliders could solve this problem. There has to be a way to avoid this.

3. Increase trade routs available. No enough of them.

Program crashes -- Constantly. I have a hyperthread chip, and I have tried the game with HT support on and off, does not make a difference. I have tried turning music off, does not make a difference. Running in 16bbp instead of 24 does not make a difference.

Most of the crashes happen when right-clicking on the map to set a waypoint. Colony ships crash it more than survey ships. I have no clue if other ships have problems because frankly I cannot play the game long enough to get beyond colony ships and the default survey ship.

Crashes at other points too, seemingly more random. Clicking on various interface tools, like the Tech browser, ect.

I had hoped that 1.04 would solve these bugs, but nay, in fact it almost seems worse off now.

Alright, I'm using 1.04, and I'm having a couple of minor problems.

1. The MP3 player doesn't seem to be working correctly. I loaded a playlist yesterday, I've played for four hours or so since then, and I have yet to hear a song. It just keeps on cycling through the tracks at break-neck speed, not playing any of them.

2. The scroll bars for military and social projects seem to have stopped working. Yesterday they worked fine. However, I loaded the game up today, and was unable to get them to scroll at all. It's pretty frustrating when I get a new planet and can't build Soil Enhancement or Habitat Improvement on it because they're too far down on the list.

In my game of last night, the Torians somehow managed to get Evolution Control without anyone getting Terraforming, including minor civs, until I got it several turns later.

CAN'T SAVE ANY MORE!

Upgraded to 1.04.58 last night. No longer playable!
The game can no longer save games. Autosave still
works. But the game no longer actually overwrites a
save game, even after it gives the confirmation box
for overwriting.

That's an interesting idea...a big galactic strategy
game that can take days to play, and you can't save!

Don't think this matters: I have a new Dell Precision 340 workstation running XP.

Is there a simple way to dump 1.04 and return to 1.03?

I'm still on 1.0.3 but I'm getting the same problem with AI getting techs before the prerequisites.

The REAL doozie I just experienced, though, was my newly-conquered star system having 450 billion population. Billion--with a b. I invaded a star system with 3 planets, 20bil+ population using Information Warfare. Post-war, instead of pop 145 on all 3 planets, as I would expect, it was 145000 on each. Talk about exploitable....

It's true, the AI doesn't break alliances unless you refuse to go to war to aid them.

Sirmorte: try building trade starbases along the trade routes; also, longer trade routes bring in more money.

riverrun: Definitely turn HyperthreadEnhancement off. Please run dxdiag and send the the report along with your debug.err file.  Also, there is a program called SmartException located under the Free STuff tab on Stardock Central that creates error reports when Gal Civ crashes.

Zelgadas: Did you see my reply to your other post?

Bruce: the problem has been fixed in the latest update. 1.0459.  The game you were trying to overwrite will actually be saved as New Save Game.
