We've got 10 file servers, and each one needs to sync with the "master" file server. The "master" file server is the actual web server the site is hosted on, which is also where the London Premium downloads are served from. So that's why if you've just uploaded a new file it takes about 1-45 minutes to sync over to the entire file server network, and why the only server it's available on to begin with is the London Premium server. I promise it's not a conspiracy to extort!

Or, as the download window says:

Newly uploaded files take some time to propagate across our file server network. If a file server is showing as syncing then that file server is in the process of being updated with the file you're looking for and is not currently available. 
The London Premium Server (Kent, UK) is the source of all files uploaded to the site and never needs to sync. As such, Premium Members never have to wait to download new files.

 

Now since some of the files have been uploaded for a few hours now it's probably more likely that a config setting was missed in the site and the file servers aren't syncing. I'll get on it, thanks for the heads up. Another good reason to get mods on the site before launching it

I really like the Nexus (had great experiences Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout) and I hope that the Nexus Mod Manager tool will be usable for FE eventually, too (since it's as easy as moving files in and out of the /mods/ directory, mostly).

 

We'll definitely look in to it pronto.

Modding has been a hobby of mine for over 30 years mate and have run modding websites for over 12 years. Some folk known me for my TES mods (a bad time for me, not many good memories there), others know me from happier times when I made my guides and mods for other games such as All the Mechwarrior 4 games, Supreme Commander 1, Dawn of War, all Egosofts X games, Dark Reign 2, Freelancer, Total Annihilation, Command and Conquer, Medieval Total War 1.... the list goes on and on so I'll spare you the details.

The point is those where much happier times in far more friendly communities.

Basically I love modding, its a hobby and whilst I do not mind helping devs out from time to time and have done several times. I am always strictly an amateur and its always about having fun for me. I am not seeking work in the industry and its important to get that point out up front because some modders are seeking work in the industry and can get pretty hostile when competition comes along.

Hope that blows away any trollish rumours our friend hear hoped would stick.

IF you see a guy names Giskard modding a game in the future on any site, its probably me. Though I do not always mod games I like, some games are perfect the way they are.

I've never seen any request for cash from Nexus, and downloaded files for over 5 years before I decided to buy a premium membership.  I did it because I thought the service was valuable.  I've seen in the last year a little blurb with some specific mods asking that if you like the mod, consider supporting the modder, but that's it.  I've never made such a request on my mods, have never received a cent, and never felt hurt because of that.  I'm just glad to offer people what I've worked on.  If they enjoy it, that's fine.
