Sadly I just don't have the time to watch your videos like I used to... but I still relish to hear your opinions and especially comments regarding the progress they've made with the latest patch 0.914.  As you're up to 24 episodes, I imagine you're enjoying it.

How about a little summary of your thoughts for those of use who can't listen...  

I enjoyed the game very much. I recorded the full game in a couple of sessions one episode after the other (that's why my voice gets croaky about half way through) and have been uploading to YouTube ever since. There are 29 episodes (nearly 15 hours) in this series once they are all uploaded - so quite a lot.

By the way, this is the first game of Elemental (WoM or FE) that I have ever actually played out to a result and I found the pacing good once I got past the start. My second game I played after this one was from a much more favourable position and it was boring in comparison to this one.

I'll play a game of 0.914 (not recorded) and list the annoyances I still have in a separate thread.

Lol I was trying to think of a good excuse but all I can come up with is that I'm a noob. I really don't think much about it while I'm playing but you are 100% correct. I think I do start using some spells later in the series but I don't do it enough.

Ive watched all of them so far. Besides trading cities with the AI a little bit and a few challenging battles there wasn't really any point where I thought he was in danger of losing. 

The first time he fights Magnar (sovreign) is seems like he might have trouble but Magnar didn't participate in battle too many times so that made things easier.

Good to hear.  I'll check out some of the videos in the 6-7 range.

 Well, that brings that Let's Play series to an end. As a really brief summary of likes and dislikes:

The Good

• Each faction is starting to play differently so you need different troops to do well against each
• The balance of HP, Attack, Defence etc in tactical battles feels right. Dodge has been nerfed a little too much I think
• I like that levelling has been nerfed and I like where it is now set to.
• I like that the AI knows when it is beat and gives up.
• I like that all information in the game is available rather than hidden from view. Makes the game more strategic.
• I like that the AI shifts targets in the tactical battles based on threat levels
• Over-all a very enjoyable game.

The Bad(ish)

• User interface has many issues that will need addressing before launch
• Track map to location of events. 'North East Outpost' could be anywhere.
• Events need to stay on the event HUD rather than just show up during the end of turn.
• Need a way of positioning troops for tactical battles (this is frustrating!)
• On a large screen it is difficult to see HUD events because they are placed all over the window
• Cities need to prompt you once they finish production
• When units or cities level up you need all the information to make an informed choice
• The is a bug on the Mana graph at game end. Has to do with the lead-up to killing off a player.
• Some spells can start well but become overpowered as you collect shards (eg Heal in my game). Suggest having a mechanic for all spells that use shards in tactical battles to reduce the allowable shard count by one on each use until you have just the vanilla (no-shard) power. Reset each tactical battle. That way the initial usage is more powerful but then it scales down with each usage for that battle.
• Is the spell Guardian Wind working? Doesn't seem to do anything.
• Where are swords? I never really liked the research focus of the game.

Well...if the devs would just make spell mana costs increase proportionally with the number of shards being "used" in the spell, that could easily solve the whole problem.

You set taxes to none and complain about going into the red?? (episode 21. Yes, I have seen em all up to 21)
