[eMOD] means that the mod is considered "ready for use". More info here.
This mod adds two new types of mounts to the game, both horses wearing barded armor. They are given to Empire, Kingdom and Elf players. For Kingdom and Elves they cost horses for units, and for Empire they cost Wargs to produce (this is to maintain balance). Empire cannot buy horses for horses, and Kingdom or Elves cannot buy horses for wargs.
For Kingdom/Elves, the light barding is available when you have researched Light Armor. The heavy version is available when you have researched Heavy Armor. For empire, the light version is available when you have researched General Armor. The heavy barding requires the technology Battle Armor.
Note that these items will appear under Armor when designing a unit, NOT equipment.

Lightly barded white horse

This horse provides faster movement outside combat than normal mounts, and a slight bonus to defense.
Available for heroes in the shop for 250 gold, or for units for 20 gold, 5 materials and 1 horse/warg.
It provides the user with +2 movement on strategic map, +1 to combat speed, and +5 defense.
Barded Black Horse

This extraordinarily bulky horse wears heavy barding, protecting both the horse and the rider. Used only by the heaviest cavalry, the mount moves slower than other mounts outside combat.
Available for heroes in the shop for 500 gold, or for units for 40 gold, 10 metal and 1 horse/warg.
It provides the user with no additional movement on strategic map, +1 combat speed, and +10 defense.
Information for modders!
The models are supplied with the game, but one is broken.
For the light barding, you can use the standard model. The skin is actually gathered from a standard horse texture. I've replaced the standard texture with a new texture, since the position of the rider is way off the position of the saddle. Also note that you will need to make the horse white, in order to make it flow better with the barding. The model was probably never finished.
The second model, you will need to use the model I provided in gfx folder. The reason was that the original hkb file had mixed both the mesh and the skeleton for the item, and that would return an error and fail to load in game. I stripped the skeleton from the file, which is the reason you must use my custom hkb and not the standard one. Also note that for this file, the texture is hardcoded, and not dependant on what is declared in the mod. If you want to change the skin for the heavy barding, follow this guide: https://forums.elementalgame.com/398314
No credit is necessary when using these assets, as I did not produce them, only tweaked and enabled them in-game.
