I noticed in Brad's game examples that he talks about how much time has passed and how long so and so has been in power. How did he know that? Is there a dating feature that I don't see? I only see a turn counter. I wish there was a date, it adds to the realism to know how much time passes...
Nobody? How do you know how much time is passing in the 'game world'?
You can't go on dates but if you get your reputation high enough you can just skip to proposal. If only real life worked this way men would be wealthier and women wouldn't have their puppetmaster reputation they have now.
...I meant date like calendar dates. Like, how do I know when a month, or a year has passed in the game?
I haven't tracked it yet, but you could find out by seeing how many turns it takes for your kids to grow up one year.
I wish it was right at the top of the screen. Like GC2 starts on Jan. 1, 2277...and each turn moves the calendar one week. That kind of thing adds a lot to the game.
The game does not have a defined time-to-turn ratio, we instead chose to leave that to the player to decide just how much time passes in their own stories.
I prefer to think of it as all happening in limbo time, during the time it takes for a wagon to plunge off the side of a bridge. But that's just me.
"Is there a date feature?"
Unfortunately there isn't. I'm afraid the fate of your social life is in your own hands.
Oh, is that not the kind of date you're talking about?
