Nice work there...

I'll have to check this more seriously later but it's nice to see how easy it can be. BUt as I made it right now, it has some "problems". Weapons in the default customization screen are also basic weapons that require no investigation and can be equipped right away by units (that includes the AI ones... nearly one slashing my Sovereign). Not a problem per se if the equipment is balanced. What is a problem is that the secondary sword appears as hand accesory and if it's the only item there, once you equip it, you can only remove it by clicking the Clear button. 

There is a bit of both. The secondary weapon (once seriously done, this doesn't count) should add a little of attack and a little of defense (depending of type of weapon, I suppose). Different dual blade techniques should then modify those bonuses: an offensive dual blade techinique would increase attack with it and reduce its defense; a defensive dual blade technique would do the opposite.

Like giving Axes and Flails 0 Parry

Large Swords small Parry values

Medium Sized Swords High Parry Values

Small Swords medium parry values

and Shields medium-> high parry values ....

Those Sword n Buckler guys will have high parry!!

But seriously ... a Tower Shield should have Very HIGH Defense, low parry, and high ranged parry

while a small shield like a buckler would have low defense, medium-> high parry, and low ranged parry
