I am fairly new to Elemental BETA, but I decided to give it a try based on concept/potential. I enjoy RTS and Turn-based strategies, played Galactic Civ II and all expansions.
Here is my feedback based on about 8 hours of play (multiple sessions):
1. Growing city is very confusing - you have to deal with food, migration, housing, levels, prestige, size... this needs to be streamlined to be more intuitive.
Buildings seem to be "build everything you can" at any given time. Most of the time most of them are grayed out.
Food seem to be problematic. Some games I could build gardens, other games I could only use "wheat" nodes to produce it. *Confused*
2. Starting tech is too basic - you can't do much for first 10-15 turns.
3. Physical damage heroes seem to be hands-down all-around superior, no contest. Plate+dump everything into Str is sure-fire way to create unbeatable hero.
4. Don't reveal point-of-interest you can't use, getting "perhaps come back later" is annoying. Also point of interest are not noticeable enough on 3D map, make them sparkle or stand out somehow.
