We dropped subscription TV when Netflix came out. Will admit we watch quite a few strange TV series but for the most part we find them entertaining. We don't watch much TV, a few shows in the evening is all. Can't make replies in the forum unless I'm using an incognito window, I wonder why? (but at least I don't have to uncheck those boxes below [e digicons][/e] ) ((darn, they came up after I posted this))
So, is that it? Has skinning become obsolete and gone the way of the dinosaur?
For you, it seems so, at least for now. That may change? I've been working on my current blind for a lot more time than I usually put into them. Kind of losing interest or out of ideas, not sure which. Also seems that site traffic appears down. Forum posts are down, downloads appear to be down. Win7 still has 48% of the market share, so I do figure that wh

Very cool Paul, bout time they rewarded your years of volunteering. I'm retired as well. Work on windowblinds daily but need to have netflix playing half screen to take up the slack time. My wife (sweet woman that she is) works from home so I'm the house daddy, cleaning, cooking, yard work, etc. I try to spend time with me 16 yer old son but he's usually on the computer. He has his learner's permit and we make time for him to spend time on the road. I enjoy doing this

Gosh, little over whelmed with the outpouring of support, thank you. I have a slew of appointments on the 30th and hope to have more data, will update when we know more. Again, thank you.

This is kind of a second home for me and at some point I won't be here. I've been diagnosed with a malignant esophageal tumor. We're waiting on the biopsy report to proceed but from what I read this is a pretty aggressive cancer with low to medium life expectancy. I'm pretty zen about the whole thing and at least will have an opportunity to put my life in order. Other than a difficulty in swallowing, weight loss (which is a sort of a blessing) and some regurgitation issues, I

Templates for some and then there are some images that are a fixed size. A template may be a 29x29 square with a dot in the middle to make circular images, just a guide really. Same with the start menu, I have several (20 or so) that I can use for a starter background and even then they may get changed depending on what looks good. To be honest trail and error is what you'll probably end of doing on a lot of things. I can't tell you how many times I've made something only to decide I

I usually make a color pallet first. Then create from scratch whatever I have an idea for at the time or, as time goes on, what needs to be finished.

I don't disagree with the premise, spot on. That's really applicable if your looking for drugs, porn or other dark sites. Google is great for surfing used car dealers, why my toilet randomly fills and most other non-offensive kind of searches. Sort of depends on your dark side. And yes, Google sorts search results to satisfy their customers but those are usually marked with the "ad" sticker.

the "tree +/-" graphic is a good example. the image is totally transparent and the glyph provides the actual image used. It seems (?) that the glyph remains undistorted when applied.
the amount of transparency dictates the amount of the "glow".
Sorry, need to clarify. The amount of transparency to the " taskbar buttons " governs the amount of glow. The mask is usually fully transparent.

task bar button mask. they need to be the same size as your taskbar buttons (although there is some creativity allowed) and the amount of transparency dictates the amount of the "glow".

I sad to lose any member of our community, especially one that has contributed so much with excellent windowblinds, technical support and personal encouragement such that Cyndie has. Thank you for being you. You are in my thoughts.
