think upon this: when things finally go optical, you'll be able to download everything on this site 100 times in a single second. i cannot wait.... give me alien technology now!

hehehe...and if you'd been using it since before it had a version number, at your company, as a job, you would certainly know more about it than to be up in here asking about anti aliasing... but seriously, i am just bussin yer chops...noo harm meant. so, did i hit it on yer screen name? a reference to Alistaire? "you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"

7 years without ever knowing about the anti-aliasing option...y'know, if this were a courtroom, I would have to cross-examine you to the point of weeping on that statement. but this is just a silly little messageboard, so i will just go over here and snicker softly to myself..... ...with the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and the Tooth Faerie.

heheheh AJ, everone who's certified and making a handsome living off of it... also, if you read the manual, you can be that nice person who goes on newsgroups and messageboards and answers all those really silly questions the newbeez ask...hehehehehehehehhehe (oh, and then you'll know how to record your own action sets ...look "actions" up in the manual, it'll save you a year)

all thats whey to complicated for the job... delete all the icons on the desktop, except the ones that go to the word processor and the internet. your mum will not screw with the start button if you show her how to click on icons. And if she ever did, the flurry of options there will scare her off. make yourself a plain wallpaper, with a big circle for each icon mom will use, and an explanation of what that program is. load that WP up on the DT, then move your 4 ic

3D so, what is the format here? VRML, .obj, .3ds? i guess i am saying, if i wanted to take your money, but i was not willing ot install the program, could i still make the icons? I gots all sortsa 3D stuff lying around, and woudl be willing to sell soem of my objects, if i have anything you might liek or could use...

another solution: make yer skin, then save a copy of it open the copy run the threshold up until you get just an outline of the skin (the threshold will be 2 tone) paste a copy of that "outline" image into the top layer of your actual skin. use the magic wand tool (with anti-aliasing Off) to select the area outside your skin surface. fill that area with magic pink. invert selection and hit delete. now you have a perfect mask for your skin! hehehehhehe---e

if you just wanted to incorporate existing icons into your program, i think it woudl be fair to offer US$20 for each one, or make soem kinda package purchase from a designer. Since the proposed designer has already done hte work, offering soem less for them is fine, because there's no additional output form the artist, you are liscensing intellectual property. and i think ess's quote on the icons @ US $50 is fair... Xy is right, you can define any color you want to be the invisible color. And if you have not taken enough instruction in Photoshop to know about the anti-aliasing options, perhaps you would better invest your time, at this point, in taking some more. www.photoshopclub.com www.adobe.com and of course, that big wonderful book that came with your fully legal and registered copy of Photoshop.

and "do as thou wilt shall be the whoel of the law", huh? think about what you just said: "The problem comes in that when I do stuff in photoshop, it tends to anti-alias into the pink" the optimal word here is "anti aliaas" if you look under your options for any selection tool, you will see a little check box marked "anti-alias" Turn It Off. For painting, make general, un-anti-aliased shapes and paint inside them. Thusly, no anti ali

JayG, too bad you didn't dig a little deeper at los. Rich Vivash was actively posting there as "The Fifth" and there were several of us actively helping him along with his project "I NEt Tabs Browser". The guys who took over develpment of Quick changer were posting there, adn basically the dev of that prog was happening in real tiem right on the LOS MB. Chaz, as a coder, had imnplemented many options for his website, including multiple personal icons, and the abil

what crae said... it's getting spooky ya'll here the deal: this site is great, for the 19 sections it has. dev art is great, if you can find a skin amongst the poetry. skinbase is great, and i guess it will have to be greater. i loved LOS, it had so much user interaction it was amazing. the skinner/developer relation ships budding on the MB there were a fine thing to watch and partake of. I really hope chaz gets it back up. I had LOtSofFu

hehehhee... my one claim to fame: I, Kenray, have never ever looked at an "XP" anything, on this site or any other. My eyes (and therefore, mind) remain in a state of XP-Virginity. The simplest solution to the XP-lague is: abstinence....
