I think this is the known issue where it always asks to update start 11 even when you are on the latest update. This won't be fixed until the next update.

Right now the main focus has been on start 11. There have been a lot of updates with that program. Current production is on taskbar features which has delayed other updates. But, once that production is finished at some point soon after WindowBlinds 11 production should start and will have a lot of improvements over windowblinds 10 and comparability with Windows 11.

I have seen quite a few programs or sites offer some really cool software and then they just stop developing it altogether. That is what comes to mind when I think of taking the money and running. I haven't seen this from Stardock so it doesn't really apply. xewafa3865 Those are long refuted typos as the real date is 2022. They also do not address the conversation between Jafo and myself which illustrated in some detail as to how start 11 can create a stable shell in which to create Windowblinds 11 around.

Just for the sake of looking into it. I too have tried to get the balloon tips turned off. On Windows 11, using past reg edits that do work on Windows 10 don't seem to work on Windows 11. There seems to be a lot of registry changes in regards to how the taskbar works. It is possible a Windows update knocked out this feature is it was working for you at one time? That is also dated for Windows 10. Is there confirmation that also works for Windows 11? I does not for me. JCurie, one thing that may make your life easier is the screenshot shortcut key. If you hold the windows key and press (prt sc) you can take a screen shot. Then you can just bypass using a phone altogether.

I think it might all circle back to comment #437 really. Getting taskbar improvements on Windows 11 via Start 11 has taken a long time, I think it is fair to say that there has been challenges figuring it all out. On top of that the 2 week delayed drop of Sun Valley 2 on the Windows 11 DEV channel is also making things difficult. Based on the fact that I can get Windowblinds 10 to run on Windows 11 via explorerpatcher or reg editing I do not think an overhaul is necessary. I would imagine that WindowBlinds 11 would want to make all the Windows 10 era skins easy to transfer over since there is already a lot of artwork available. I did see the developer post that it is currently under consideration. I think it depends on the demand which is growing a bit. Current development is on improving taskbar features with start 11. After that I do not think they have set anything in stone.

WinAero is one of those things that will change your registry but wont revert them if you uninstall. I believe the way to revert them back is to actually reinstall WinAero and make sure it is up to date and then reset all tweaks inside the program and then uninstall it
