In most of my games the torians were #1, but then again I usually play with only the five classic races. The torians are fun to invade though. They always have poor morale on their overpopulated world. Can anyone say "information warfare"? Yep, last game one of their planets had a population

A muppet? You mean like Kermit the Frog? Didn't know he aspired to be Supreme Overlord. Kermit the Mighty will crush you with his green fist of doom.
I love this arguement. Its like if i let someone borrow my dvd its piracy, if i play it on my computer then on my dvd player its piracy. If i use a marker on the cd its piracy. If i fly the jolly roger while wearing an eyepatch and singing yo ho yo ho its piracy. What if i have 2 computers is that piracy... its just plain
Then I set out to take all of their planets. I just LOVE when I go to the diplomacy screen and they say something like, "I guess this war wasn't such a good idea." Yeah, buddy, too late for you now. No
Is there anyway to delete a design/config from a save file? Wouldn't that screw things up if you actually had produced some of that design? Maybe it would be better just to have the game not save the designs back into the ships folder.
Or here's another idea: How about when a tech is traded, the reciving party doesn't get the whole 100% of research, but gets maybe 50%? That would still be good to have, but you or the AI would still have to spend a few turns to finish the research, slowing the tech spam in the early game. </TABLE
I could see it as an option if you had warships (no troop transports) and clicked to put them into orbit on an enemy planet. A dialog box could pop up (like the upgrade starbase one) and it can ask you to do a couple of things like: bombard planet - will destroy structures and population blockade planet - destroys all trade routes and puts some kind of % red
I'd like to point out that it is currently at the top of the most popular column at gamerankings.
I don't know if this is how it works in Galciv 2, but in Galciv1 the skull and crossbones meant that the planet had failed one loyalty check. If a second failure occurs, then the planet will switch sides. So basically, the same conditions that caused the symbol will also be able to cause a switch. I think there is some randomness to it, so it could take a while. Of course, increasing your influence in the area is definitely a good way to speed up t
It's definitely possible to get planets from a peace treaty. The enemy definitely has to be a little desperate, but you can always ask for them. Sometimes you'll actually get them.
-Allow removal of parts while "upgrading" a design in the designer (bug or feature?). Right now if i want to replace those Stinger Mk. IIs with Mk. IIIs in order to squeeze on a new engine, i have to build an entirely new ship. I'm pretty sure that this is a bug. I've definitely swapped out componen
Counter-espionage--me likes. Black ops, misinformation, stealth tech. Destabilizing enemy colonies, creating "incidents" to sow the seeds of mistrust between two nations. Watching the universe erupt in chaos... Tehehe. Where's my expansion pack already? I'm espcially liking the idea of misinformation.
Do download preorders get the content, or is it only for people who bought an actual cd?

I'd just like to add my agreement to everyone else's. I really love a good commentary. In fact, I can think of at least a couple DVD's where the commentary was the best part (*cough* Simpsons season 1). Anyways, I would definitely be interested in seeing something like this.
Will paypal orders be opened up when the initial download is available, or is that going to have to wait until the actual release?
Thank you.
On the purchase page, I noticed the paypal logo listed with the other payment methods. However, I can't seem to actually use paypal as a payment option. Am I missing something here?
