Its been over a week I had an ongoing bug thread with Stephen at Ironclad games. They asked me to send them a save, I sent the save and had some more questions about some new possible bugs that I found and I have had no response back. I could be wrong, but from the first few responses I recieved from Ironclad about 2 weeks ago, it seems they are trying their very best not to patch anything. If they ever respond back to my e-mail I will post all the responses and my questions in a new thread.

In the patch notes it said something about achievement vault updates, I wonder does this include the queen of thorns unpacked and packed demigod kills are being registered while being unpacked only. I never used that char as summoner (packed), but both achievements for packed and unpacked are completed. Since both of mine are completed already, I do not know if it has been fixed. Thanx in advance

It doesn't matter which race you play ;). I played all 3 races in different games with 6 computer AI teamed against me all 3 games. They never destroyed a single starbase no matter which race I was playing.

I would do a search on your system for all binkw32.dll and make sure that you are not loading the wrong binkw32.dll instead of the one that is shipped with entrenchment. This could happen due to your path variable or something in the registry, but most executables should look in the current working directory for all dynamic linked libraries before searching externally. This became a standard in software development around the release of WinXP OS. If I remember correctly this has to be done fo

I have played TEC alot and haven't had any problems with invisible starbases. I have noticed that entrenchment is a major resource hog for CPU usage where as original sins was not. I have noticed in big games 3 hard computer players or more that if you scroll into a asteroid belt that you already sent a scout through but the scout is no longer there the resource mines are invisible. If you send the scout to the asteriod belt after about 15 seconds after the scout arives the mines will apear o

I have already sent a question to [email protected] on this issue here is the portion for this issue and their response: Also in the saved game I sent you the resources where messed up before the computer player gave up. I was just trying to get more planets messed up in resources. And if you look at the computer player he has at least 10 planets probably more I haven't sent out scouts since close to the beginning of the game. Why did it su

The computer player keeps ending the game when they have up to 10 planets still is rather strange, since they used to put up a fight till the last planet. I sent a e-mail to and Ironclad said thats a apart of the AI being re-worked to be more challenging. I have played two games with 6 hard computer AI all teamed together. If the AI has been re-worked to offer more of a challenge, why do they throw all their forces onto one starbase over and over and they never are able to d

I have never used any mods. I think I should be able to complete all the achievements with out any mods. In the original sins I was able to complete all the achievements in about 10 games. I now am almost done with my 17th game all of them have been huge multi random (5 stars, 132 planets). Eventhough the computer players end the game I still complete it by aquiring all the planets and doing full searches. On a side note I sent a question about the artifacts to <a href="mail

I'm ok with the collisions over more cpu intensive anti-collision procedures. I just never noticed this before and thought it was pretty odd behavior. Its been a very long time though since I have played regularly (from release till about 2 weeks after 3rd patch of original sins). Rafi, Did you notice the collisions before the last couple of patches to sins, I think when entrenchment came out they patched original sins a couple of times too?

Back when sins first released, I played till about 2 weeks after 3rd patch was released. Back then I was able to aquire all artifacts in a huge multi random map (5 stars, 132 planets) every game. Now after playing entrenchment huge multi random maps over 15 times aquiring every planet and completing full planet searches I am only able to get all but one artifact each and every game. Has anyone else noticed this or did something change after 3rd patch to make aquiring all the artifacts more di

Hi Hordboy, You can install the .impulse file, if you have impulse installed on the machine, by clicking the circle icon in the top right of impulse and selecting restore archive. Its the second to the last option in the first column. I know its a pain to have to have impulse and internet connection installed on a game machine that is never played online. Hope this helps, Jason

Hi ednemo, I know the varasi have a capital ship that will phase out enemy structures and ships. Phase out makes target invulnerable but also stops all weapons and movement. Its a good thing since once they are phased out your fleet will take less damage overall. It wears off after some time and you can attack it then. Its a type of croud control. The Varasi is probably my favorite race. Hope this helps, Jason

Here is ironclads response for the 2nd bug below in quotes. The first bug they requested a saved game. I will have to play a new game to get a save to them. "I have been able to recreate the problem, however the changes required to fix it are significant and far exceed the benefit of doing so as the problem itself is not severe (i.e. it does not crash the game) and players are able to work around it (e.g. by un-queuing and re-queuing their construction orders as you described)."

I sent a e-mail to ironclad for this issue and here is the response in quotes: "No aspect of the collision avoidance was changed in Entrenchment compared to Sins, it may simply be the case that you did not notice the behavior before or that your structure placement strategy has changed in light of the new possibilities the expansion offers. Ships are always going to have pathfinding issues given Sins' physics model when attempting to move through clustered struc

I contacted Ironclad on this issue and here is their response in "": ""At comparable detail settings, Entrenchment v1.02 does not use significantly more memory compared to versions of Sins before v1.16; that is, 1.5GB of memory use is the expected amount to be used. I am sorry to say that it is unrealistic to expect that Entrenchment's performance would be comparable to Sins as the new content in the expansion inevitably requires increased computation. If you fi

Before I updated to Entrenchment the game used to run decently fast even with 4 hard comp players and myself in a huge multi random map (5 stars, 132 planets). Now since I installed Entrenchment v1.02 it gets extremely slow and in battle its almost a crawl with full fleet in one battle. This has never happened before entrenchment. Also, memory usage is about 1.5 gb just for entrenchment. I don't remember what it was before entrenchment. I have a pentium 4 3ghz, 3gb ram, nvidia 7600 gs, s

I have sent a e-mail to [email protected] for this issue along with 3 other issues. I posted here on stardock forum. I been playing sins since it first came out also. Before entrenchment it was an amazing game now its just so much riddled with bugs. thank goodness though I have not had the minidumps, but I have not played anything more than myself and 1 comp on easy so far. Just trying to get all my achievements again before I start going

During battle or just trying to leave the planet if starbase is in a direct path that the capital ships are going they get hung up on the starbase and each other eventually the problem is corrected but very slowly this leads to undue damage during battle since capital ships have a problem lining up correctly for weapons fire so my capital ships are not facing the enemy correctly for fire weapons so they take more damage then needed. I have seen this happen with structures also starbases

1st bug: playing a largest random map multi (5 stars, 132 planets) and after aquireing most of the planets mouse over for credits and resources break down gets messed up where the top of the list doesn't show and the bottom of the list where the total show and the negatives due to fleet research size does not show up. I am playing in 1680x1050 resolution, this is my flat screens native resolution. This really needs to be fixed. 2nd bug: I do not know how this occurs but while res
