Neil is slowly but surely removing any barriers to having to put up with text ending up unreadable...but it does still happen...all areas of skinning are not yet under complete control. vStyler is correct...I cant imagine ANY master saying unreadable text was by design...sometimes its unavoidable due to the limitations of dark skin design...or just some unseen aberration of the OS. Neil gave us some nice improvements to the menus in 7 and Vista...yay! Dropdown breadcrumb menus and view menu text and mouseover! In my case it was not that it picked the wrong colour or did a bad job...it was the wall...it looked fine in its original state...but recoloring exposed how badly it was compressed.(it went all blotchy and blocky) Not Deskscapes fault.Photoshop couldnt do it either. I am impressed with the wallpaper recoloring...it depends a lot on the quality of the wall...overly compressed or images with lots of smooth gradients dont look so good.((edit))...I should have said...images with lots of NOT so smooth gradients. Knot Vista...I mean Knot Aero...remake is now underway...Just tweaking some XP subs and its off to 7 land then retro back to Veesta. There are already 7 XP styles and more on the way.(mostly color presets) Many new buttons...elements made smaller...and so on,etc...etc...
