Fallen Enchantress 1.31 I just can't understand what you've done here, dear SD guys ... Why have all my Core XML files been modified ? For all these files, the "Last modification date" attribute is now set on 2013/02/28 17:55 ... and the patch notes are so thin that I cannot believe they're exhaustive. How can we know what are the changes by now ? Will I have to compare in my xml editor all the files to verify that nothing has changed ?
Hey Furibar, could you elaborate a bit more about the Engineering mod?
Sure. Engineering Faction ability (cost 1) : unlocks 3 unit design abilities, at Labor cost . - Builders will allow the unit to build an outpost. Unit disappear once the outpost is built - Settlers will allow the unit to settle a new village. Unit disappear once the villa
For what I've read here, some of you may want to try Engineering mod (DL from the Nexus) that enables some faction building capacities for your units. Any feedback welcome so I can put it in V1.0 (no known issue for now on v0.95). Thanks :)
This excellent mod was enough for me so far (maybe not perfect, but working very well). Regarding the "tiles system" changes that are made in v1.291 and v1.3, I wonder if keeping Ecomental mod active is a bad choice ... or not. Any idea about it ?
I see. Thanks for this detailed info, I won't spend more time on this (I was trying to create the "governor's office" => trash).
Adding skills to the govs is a good idea, it should make the govs more interesting. But you know of course that there is a real dichotomy concerning the path of the governor : levelling. Why not add, first, a city improvement that the player would build in the city where he plans to put a governor ? This building, call it Governor's Office or whatever, would provide xp per turn to the stationed Champion (if you can, you should restrict it to a Path of the Governor champion
Steam ? Bad news ... But I guess you at Stardock do what you can to survive on the fringe of the "wonderfull global market" sharks. And it's far better than what you did with Impulse moved to GameStop (I tried to reinstall Sins of a solar Empire Entrenchment and it's been so painfull that I gave up and didn't buy the Diplomacy extension). We'll see what is good and what is very good in this extension. Though I think it's a pity that you get rid of Pr
You can build your own engineering units if you want. Here is what i've modded for myself. Basically, it offers you 2 more traits to choose when you're designing units. Unit_Design
You don't need the mod manager. Just follow the instructions, that are simple : (Quote from [eMOD] LargeUI mod 0.7 for FE 1.20) Manual Installation: Open the file and extract the files into your installation directory in the /Screens/ folder. The installation directory is \Program Files\Stardock\Fallen Enchantress\Screens\ if you are'nt a steam user. If you are, then i cannot help you. This is an excellent mod, for anyone playing on a 26"" monitor. But it doesn
There is an error in this trait : it reduces Prestige instead of DiplomaticCapital (IE influence). You'll have to modify it yourself. If I'm right (I'm not at home and cannot access my Mods folder), the bugged trait is Corrupted ... then edit AddFactionTrait.xml, find the entry for "Corrupted" ability, and replace Prestige by DiplomaticCapital.
I'm still fighting for victory - or death - in my current game, but I'll test later and maybe complete this post. Thanks for all your answers, it seems that I will be able to tune the random XL and XXL maps that I'm playing (I want both 6 tiles between city cores and 5 or 6 tiles between city improvements).
I've never used the HW mouse. To explain it in more detail, the mouse itself is rock steady on the screen, it's just when you are highlighting these specific tiles that the targeting square underneath becomes fickle. It's like there's something wrong with the elevation of those tiles, what the targeting square is being told isn't matching what is displayed, we see a series of smooth hills but it's like trying to target in-bet
